"When I was a little girl, someone gave me a copy of a book called The Adventures of the Wishing-Chair. The chair grew wings and could fly away to other worlds. I started using books for that very purpose from a really early age. Books helped me to endure, learn, navigate, believe, imagine and hope. It also made me realize that the world I was growing up in was not the only one out there and I could use words as wings in my own way too. I still have a really old copy of it although I haven’t read it in decades."

"It’s like a weird musical. That is actually one of Christopher’s favorite movies that he did, unlike the last one. It was not a very successful movie when it came out but it’s really quite a hypnotic and amazing film I think. It’s like a weird dream. Some of these films I can’t kind of watch over, because they play in your mind like a dream. It reminds me of growing up in Burbank. Things are quite normal on the surface but underneath they’re not quite what they seem. I found this film to be such a strange mixture; the elements are very odd."

The Lindel brothers, Mikey and JP, only had each other to rely on growing up. As adults, JP finds...

"The title says it all... My parents were practicing Tibetan Buddhism for a time when I was growing up. When my (step) dad died my mother gave this book to me—it’s like a little key to the universe that unlocks many of life's question's without ever being bombastic. When my mother died nine years ago this gift from her was priceless in guiding me through my devastation. But it’s not just a bandaid for emotional cuts. It’s a book for life. With all the planetary turmoil we find ourselves in, more than ever I keep this book close. I might start sleeping with it under my pillow..."

3.5 stars.

This was a nice kind of extended epilogue to book 5, after all the gang appears at the cabin and they decide to spend Christmas there.

It was nice to see more of the interaction between the brothers and cousins and there mates, especially after reading their individual books and growing to like them all. I liked that they're all so close they can tease and taunt each other.

Amanda going into labour (finally) and how everyone reacted made me smile and how they were all trying to outdo each other for a present for the baby.

It was a nice round-up to the series.

I was so excited to read this book! I LOVE Tina Fey in 30 Rock and on SNL, I found her absolutely hilarious! This book however, was not. I laughed through the Introduction and the Growing Up and Liking It chapters but that was it. I thought this book would be filled with funny stories and zinging one liners - it was not. I still love Tina Fey as an actress but as a writer, she kind-of sucks. Her writing is very choppy, the chapters don't flow together and I wasn't too impressed with all the (actual!) scripts within the pages. It took me forever to finish reading!
