Stripping it back
At the start of this year when this game was released I wasn’t particularly interested in this Far Cry spinoff without the guns, but while waiting for Doom and Uncharted to release in May, I picked this up and actually had a lot of fun with it. Never quite reached the end, but the time I did spend with it was good. The game of course takes several liberties with the equipment available at the time and it is a fair bit slower than the mainline Far Cry games, but this is a nice change from the same old recipe.

Short And Sweet
I am not a big Battlefield guy, nor am I a big FPS fan, but I picked this up in a sale and actually had a decent time playing through the campaign. I am not a fan of online gaming, so I just stuck to the campaign and although it was brief and the plot was rubbish, I did enjoy playing through it. If you aren't looking for anything too deep and have a few hours to kill, then this is definitely worth picking up in a sale, just don't expect anything complex or deep.

This is a sequel to ‘Memory Man’ but I do think readers could pick up the background easily. The story follows an FBI task force investigator, Amos Decker, a man who can forget nothing due to an injury as an American Football player. Melvin Mars is a man on death row who needs to dig deep into his past to find out the truth behind his incarceration. It’s a very American thriller with some very staged dialogue, lots of guns and criminology but I really enjoyed the idea of a man blessed and cursed with perfect recall. A tale of twists and turns that kept me reading.

Battling the Borgia
This game is fantastic, once again drawing you in to renaissance Italy.
Great story and this is where you really take the fight to the Borgia foiling their plot to take control of Rome and Italy as a whole.
Lots of good battles in this and some new weapons added into the mix.
There are some epic scenes and Leonardos war machines make for some interesting missions, taking down early designs on gatling guns and tanks.
Character inclusion is also very much expanded with such historic figures as Niccolo Machiavelli, Dante Alighieri, The Borgias and the return of Leonardo da Vinci.
Epic sequel

Big action scenes
Entertaining WW2 action Film
Well with Roland Emmerich at the helm you should know what to expect from this film. Lots of big budget action scenes and SFX heavy scenes. Going for all guns blazing, quite literally, at the slight expense of any indepth character development. It's good that this also covers the battle from the Japanese perspective. I'm not sure how accurate it is but it is at least based on real people who had key roles in the battle. One definitely to enjoy for the action scenes, especially if seeing in 4DX.
