I hate to give a 2 star review, but for some reason, this novella could not hold my interest. Not that I wasn't curious about Dawson and Bethany's story, but I found myself skipping through a lot of it. It was still a sweet story.

Wesley and Quinn have a love to hate relationship. She blames him for her parents divorce and spends the entire book trying to get even. Cool premise, but it falls a bit flat for me.
the cover shows a food truck, but that doesn't show up until like 3/4 of the way through so I am not quite sure why it's the cover? In fact the whole cover is quite deceptive as to what is actually in the book. But moving on.
While I enjoy a good hate to love story this was just meh, the character of Quinn was naive, dumb, and easy to peg. I just couldn't get into it.

I can't decide if I liked or hated this book - and you can't really review a thriller without giving spoilers - but I thought some parts were predictable (I called one but then it turned out different than I thought) and I called another completely, though it still made for a good book I think 109 chapters in 418 pages was a little much - why all the chapters? I hate that. I didn't much like the side players - Kate was a **insert bad word** and Amy I found to be a bit annoying - I did like the rest though I think the book is made to make you hate people. Overall a decent ride!

I'm pretty sure my fellow reviews have their boots tightly laced up to give this follow up a good kicking, I didn't hate it that much however.
Is it a poor sequel? yes! But there are far worse sequels out there( I'm looking at you 2049) A one time somewhat entertaining flick.

Omg...this one was even better then the first..wow...it had darkness..and light...live and hate....rage and peace...it was amazing to see them grow and love each other....the pain was amazing o watch them work through. So much I loved about this story. And no cliffhanger yay lol

Picoult always takes difficult social issues deseccts them and breaks them down for consumption. Her characters are real and many layered. Her perspective lends the open mind a walk in others shoes. (0 more)
Lots of racial and hate filled speech. Difficult to hear/read at times, but necessary to move the point acrossed. (0 more)
