Quirky and psychedelic, but doesn't deserve the hate it tends to get among fans. Northern Downpour in particular is a masterpiece.

I hate getting a book from the library and finding out that it smells like cigarette smoke! Completely ruins it for me. ??

That stinks! (In more ways than one). Did you let them know? My library will sometimes charge if a book is returned damaged; smelling like smoke is considered damaged.
