The restless UK electronic musician sets aside prior experiments in spliced soul and finger-picking folk-glitch in favor of foggy ambient atmospheres that are both soothing and haunting.

This beautifully haunting tale looks at the era before, during and after WWII from a completely different angle - that of a plot of land in Germany. You can read my full review here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/02/20/a-plot-on-a-plot-of-land/

although it deals with some issues the lgbtqia+ deal with in terms of acceptance, their representation ends up being solely negative (the same can be said for mental health issues, with dangerous stereotypes being represented)

While not an outright genre film, this dramatic thriller takes a realistic approach to its horror. Visually stunning and quiet, this surreal, haunting take on a coming of age story feels authentic

Silently haunting
A beautiful novel depicting a Jesuit priest who questions his faith after landing in Japan during the 17th century. It is a story with many temptations and plot twists set to test the priest to his limit. All around him, Christians fall to apostasy. A simple, yet touching tale.

Never any slow, drawn out parts
I don't often read Crime books as they are not really the genre I prefer. However, I could not put this book down.
I also never read this author's books before but I would definately consider reading another!
