"The Blue Nile are masters of the slow build, and Over The Hillside is a prime example. A lot of their songs make me cry, but this one in particular has this sense of hope and patience that becomes almost unbearably beautiful when Paul Buchanan sings, "Tomorrow I will be there / Just you wait and see." It almost sounds as if he's about to die and is singing to heaven...but heaven is a place on earth, after all."

Sarren, I hope they kick your arse all the way to hell and back when they finally catch up with you!

As for the everyone else. Allie, nice to have you back. Jackal, I would never have guessed. Kanin, good to see you, too. Zeke, you poor, poor, human. And Stick, you were just an arse!

It was certainly an adventure. A compelling one at that! Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Slyly understated and very funny, this portrait of a Swedish commune in the mid 1970s is filled with vivid, affectionately-drawn characters, incredibly sympathetic children, and, in the end, a profoundly moving final scene. When I have lost hope in humanity (which sadly occurs more frequently than I would like) I re-watch this stirringly beautiful film and feel my faith in the world restored."
