I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have been debating on what my rating for this book would be and I would give it a 3 1/2 star review so I rounded up to 4. This is the very first of A.C. Melody's books that I have ever read and I have to say, I will be coming back for more. A.C. Melody did what not many people can do, they didn't fall into the curse of the novella. This book is 114 pages on my nook. Generally, when I read a book that is less than 200 pages I do not feel connected to the characters, this was a rare occurrence where I found the characters enduring.
I tend to love myself a good dark & gritty romance and this was a lot of fun to read. The humor in here had me smiling and the characters were well done. My only critic was the ending but then again, the ending is what has me wanting to read the next book.
Ultimately, I enjoyed the book and I cannot wait for the next one in the series.

After contacting the author, he pulled the books and got an editor. He sent me an updated version to re-review. The flow of the story is smoother making an easier read. While there are some grammar mistakes, they don't distract from the story. Had I not mentioned them before I wouldn't have noticed them this time.
I was hooked on this story in the first page. It is an extremely creative story set in Tulsa, Oklahoma involving a cult of Chuthlu, death, college students, pot, police. Told from 4 different POVs. It is hard not to have some sort of reaction to the characters whether it be from disgust, dislike, or wanting to encourage them and afraid for them. There are also a few twists that may take you by surprise.

This story is graphic and can get uncomfortable with it's descriptions. Without too much of a spoiler there are some disturbing scenes and situations.
There's a pretty good balance of humor, fear, amazement, and horror.

I'm floating right now. Not in the sewers, but on cloud nine kazillion after experiencing all of the awesomeness that is the new IT movie. They didn't clown around with this new one. Okay, puns out of the way(for now), it was a fantastic film. Not only was justice served to the original adaptation, but I truly feel it surpassed it and rose above all of the excitement and expectations surrounding it. The kids couldn't have been casted any better I don't think, direction that resulted in a look and feel that was amazing, huge thumbs up on costuming, make-up, and effects, and very well written with that perfect balance of horror and humor; I laughed a lot. The new Pennywise is to die for. What Tim Curry's version did for my generation and taking fear of clowns to a whole new level, Bill Skarsgard's will do the same for the current generation. To this day I feel uneasy when I see sewer drains and do my damnedest to avoid them. In summary, IT was well made(pun intended) and is a must see.

Woah. Sheer intensity in written form.
Let me preface why I gave this only 4 stars instead of 5.
The series overall was riddled with crude humor and repulsive language, the depth and level of which blew past my personal tolerance levels. Also, human life was never so cheap: from the immensely violent bloody beheadings to the mass deaths and gory fight scenes, grisly death could be found in probably every other chapter. In short, I could not recommend this book to my mother.
That being said, the story and saga of Darrow pulled at my heart like no book I've ever read. The themes of death, destruction, and despair that surrounded Darrow crushed me. It was only the pure dream of the "good guys" fighting for a better world that made it possible to read through the extreme agony. The themes of love, betrayal, friendship, and trust left me emotionally drained sometimes. These elements made it so that I literally couldn't put the book down.
It is an epic journey, it is a moving (although harsh) masterpiece, and I will never forget this book or series.

In this fast passed action comedy, Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are a young couple who live in the small town of Milton. Charlie Bronson (Dax Shepard) has a sordid past that prevents him from leaving the small town that he and his girlfriend live in. Charlie’s past includes a bank robber without a name (Bradley Cooper) and he is out to seek revenge against Charlie for testifying against him in an older bank robbery case.
After Annie gets a promotion outside of Milton in L.A., the couple end up heading on a road trip as Charley is determined to get her to her new job on time. Little does she know the road trip to her future may be the end of her relationship, a crazy adventure or a new beginning.
This movie is nothing short of hilarious. In my opinion Tom Arnold who plays Charlie’s protection makes this entire movie worth watching and that is saying something.
While I was not a fan of the cinematography used in this film , the humor makes up for it for sure. This film should not be missed especially if you like really fast cars.
