The early naughties destructive Japan
There was a slew of angry rebellious nihilistic cinema in this period and Blue Spring may just be the most punk rock of them all. Its an artistic nasty little film full of violence and tension, as if art House got really pissed off and decided to say eff you. A seminal piece of cinema

Megan (14 KP) rated Shawn Mendes by Shawn Mendes in Music

One of my favourites
Shawn has quite a few genres of music within this one album, and although some are different to his usual style, they are all equally amazing!
I listen to this album very often and love every single song, although some more than others such as Nervous, In My Blood and Lost In Japan.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone

Cori June (3033 KP) rated Tiger's Quest in Books

The continued adventures to Kelsey's and Ren's quest. Starts right after the end of the first book. We get to know more about Kishan and Kelsey's "normal" life in Oregon. The supporting characters are mostly male and there are few female characters which is a little annoying. Also the mythology expands to include most of the world, not just India and Japan or various Asian myths.

David McK (3349 KP) rated The Wolverine (2013) in Movies

Hugh Jackman's second, more successful, solo outing as Logan, the mutant with the adamantium skeleton and healing power who is also known as The Wolverine.
Better than 'X-Men: Origins - Wolverine' (which really managed to mess up the character of Deadpool), but not as good as 'Logan', perhaps the strongest draw of this one is in its setting of Japan (at least, until the unintended comedy of the final act with the Silver Samurai)
