pecotter (3 KP) rated Train to Busan (2016) in Movies
Sep 19, 2017
I was pretty into it as soon as I started to watch it, I was pulled in and couldn't take my eyes from the screen from the moment the characters first board the train.
There were little details here and there that I loved including the fact that one character has a brand new Nintendo Ds (I love Nintendo).
Most zombie movies bore me after a while and I don't care too much for the characters, but in Train to Busan I was rooting for several of them.
I also loved the fact they were on a train, that was ont of the reasons I wanted to watch this film, I wanted to see exactly how they were gonna survive in such a small space.
I highly recommend this film, give it a try even if you don't like the look of it and it might surprise you.
Neon's Nerd Nexus (360 KP) rated A Bittersweet Life (2006) in Movies
May 13, 2019
------------------------------------------
Without a doubt the greatest revenge #film ever made #abittersweetlife is a jaw dropping, beautifully shot, meticulously choreographed & accompanied by one of the most alluring soundtracks I've ever heard in a film. To look at this film as simply a #revenge film is missing out on why its so great, its a film about #freedom, innocence, loyalty & power with so much intricacy/depth to each if your willing to open your mind & delve deeper into its characters/themes. There's also so many absolutely stunningly #crafted, memorable, creative & tense set pieces here too that make almost every #action film look sub par in comparison. #Leebyunghun gives the performance of his career here , he's just so #cool, #stylish, dedicated & #charming that theres not one point your not #emotionally attached to him & engaged in the film. If you #love foreign films you can not miss out on this one its utter perfection & for me nothing will ever come close to how flawless it is. Make sure you watch the directors cut as the theatrical misses out a few extreamly important plot points.

Anne (15117 KP) rated Frankly in Love (Frankly in Love, #1) in Books
Nov 4, 2019
I liked the story idea and premise to the story with the fake dating trope and the insight into Korean culture and family and culture issues and differences. It was a good portrayal of YA/teen years and crushes and romances and other things. There were a few things that caught me off guard, but for the most part, it seemed to be pretty straight forward.
This isn't my usual reading genre, but I thought it was alright although my biggest things were 1-it seemed a bit long, which is one of the reasons why audio helped and 2 - the language - there was so much profanity and language that I didn't enjoy, so that's my two cents on that.
If you like romance, fake dating tropes and such then you'll probably like this.
