This film does feel like it's on auto pilot for a lot of the time. The first 3/4 of the film are just a couple of days in the life of a couple of friends, just slacking and chilling out. Then things get worse as Christian Bale's character starts to lose the plot!

I'd heard a lot about this series so I was excited to be given a chance to review it but I didn't think it really lived upto the hype. The book was enjoyable and although I liked the characters i felt they needed more work. The only thing I didn't like was the abrupt ending.

Laura Romanovich (0 KP) rated Academia Obscura in Books
Jun 5, 2018
A humorous look at the life of academia. There is probably a narrow audience of people who would enjoy this book as much as I have: dedicated academics with a laid-back sense of humor. A lot of the content appears on the author's Twitter page, but the bound copy sits high on my bookself.
