Kate (355 KP) rated Apple iPad in Tech
Jan 6, 2019
I have a fairly old ipad - about six years old now, but I use it for everything from social media to emails to watching films and box sets on, so there is no need for a separate laptop (which I don't have). I would also suggest getting a Bluetooth keyboard as being a touch typist it is a lot easier to use then the one on the screen.

Good But Predictable
This book was a fun fantasy read, however it was often predictable. Many of the events were stereo typical things I have seen in a lot of other YA novels. It was a good book it just didn't have any qualities that really made it stand out. I would still suggest it to others, but hopefully when the second book comes out it brings more to the table.
David McK (3372 KP) rated Twelve (The Danilov Quintet, #1) in Books
Jan 30, 2019
Might have been more effective if the blurb of the book hadn't given away what is meant to be the 'big reveal' (about approximately 1/4 of the way in), and a lot of the book is not in describing the actions: "I did this, then that", but how the protaganist feels in carrying them out: (almost) "I felt like this while doing that"
In short: could've been better.

Sw (9 KP) rated the PlayStation 3 version of Dragon Age II in Video Games
Jan 30, 2019
Looking at all the games in the dragon age series, I really liked this game but, to me, I liked it less than the other games because it felt more restricted. I feel like origins and inquisition both give you a lot of freedom when it comes to your character but in this game you’re given more of a role to follow rather than being able to choose your own path.
Dean (6925 KP) rated Stag Night (2009) in Movies
Dec 24, 2018
A average at best horror film that is a cross breed between the much better Creep and Wrong Turn. It borrows a lot from Creep but doesn't have the same tension, scares, or overall creepiness of that film. There is nothing subtle about this. People end up in the wrong place and come across some underground cannibals. Some good gore scenes if you like that. Otherwise pretty average going.
Suzi (55 KP) rated Twilight (Twilight, #1) in Books
Jun 22, 2019 (Updated Jun 22, 2019)
Much better than the film
Having read this and the alternate version of twilight I can definitely say both are better than the film. The character description and story flow are much smoother and in depth. Not the best writing mind you but a lot better than some and it's a new twist on an old tale.
Really enjoyable book with some pretty memorable scenes and one liners.

Lee Nightingales (73 KP) rated Audible – audio books, original series & podcasts in Apps
Aug 9, 2019
Leading a busy life and spending a lot of time on the move means I can't always sit down and read a book. Audible allows me to take my books with me wherever I go. It's an app that is easy to use and I recently introduced my parents to it as well. Convenience on busy days is a very important aspect, and Audible offers users exactly that.
angela2412 (4 KP) rated The Kissing Booth (2018) in Movies
Jan 22, 2019
I have two teenage nieces and I watch a lot of teen movies. The Kissing Booth is a fun movie to watch. Its full of teenage mischief, and drama. It doesn't try to be politically correct or have an agenda. It is all about teenage drama, angst, mischief, first love. It's a movie worth having in your collection right along side sixteen candles, breakfast club etc....
James Koppert (2698 KP) rated Michael Inside (1997) in Movies
Nov 4, 2019
Dark realistic Irish prison drama
Michael inside has won a lot of awards but is it as good as the hype? Well yes and no. If you don't like those slow bleak indie films you won't like this, if you do then this will be a classic. Dafhyd Flynn who plays Michael does it in a convincing understated way. This is prison life with the glamour removed. A cracking film.
