Joking Hazard
Joking Hazard
2016 | Adult, Card Game, Comic Book / Strip, Humor, Party Game
I have never laughed so hard at a simple card game. It is very similar to Cards Against Humanity, however in this game, you are playing to make the perfect punchline to a 3-frame comic strip. We played with four people and in about 2 hours, we played through all the cards available. I can see how playing with more people would make the game faster and also a bit repetitive. I'm sure with expansions, there will be more cards to play, however at this time, I'm not sure there is a lot of "re-playableness". Once you see the cards and how they interact, they lose their humor.

The Punisher - Season 2
2019 | Action, Adventure, Crime
I love the Punisher! I loved season 1. We just finished binging season 2, which I also liked a lot. However, without giving spoilers, it had a completely different feel than the first season. There were a couple of elements in the second season that I could have done without, or at least with changes, but overall, I still fully enjoyed it. I'm glad the show didn't get cancelled the way some of the other Marvel shows on Netflix did. However, if it does at this point, I would still feel like things had been completed. Hopefully they'll throw a third season at us, though!

Too creepy
I know that a lot of people have raved about it but I have to say I couldn't watch the whole series. I got to about half way through episode 4 and couldn't carry on. I was creeped out too much.
Maybe I should of persisted but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
It's a story about a (all be it very hunky) man called Joe who spots the woman of his dreams and basically stalks her until she starts dating him. I didn't make it much further before I stopped watching because it was just far far far too creepy.

Not a page turner
This book promises a page turning, plot twisting, dArk and thrilling read but instead you only want the pages to turn to the torture of reading the book can come to an end.

The ending is well written and worth investing in but unfortunately the build up has been so bad that by the time the end comes, you just don’t care anymore.

There is a lot of promise but it doesn’t deliver.

You don’t care about the mystery letter writer, or the romantic entanglements because we aren’t given any reason to care for the characters until the very end.

A Beautiful Tale That Brings to Light the Darkened Truths
An absolutely beautiful story that sadly holds too much basis in today's world. This film tackles a lot of dangerous topics that many are too scared to address. It allows you to really get into the head of those who sadly go through these events and allows to really see the hidden racism that is spread throughout our culture. I have fallen in love with this film and truly believe that whether you actually enjoy it or not, it's a film that everyone needs to see at least once.

I don't know if I really should be reviewing this as I just don't understand why people need to be told to exercise. Whether you live there are places to walk and explore, woods and fields in the countryside and parks in cities. This is for people who spend a lot of time in cars, on public transport and do not walk and so are being told to do. I know people who have it and walk on the spot because they have to get their steps up. Also don't forget all this information is being stored somewhere and all your activities are being recorded.

Slightly atypical Laurel and Hardy short, presumably because it's a remake of a silent non-L&H film. This explains why Stan and Ollie play successful businessmen looking to get into politics rather than the usual perennially useless goons, why it feels more like a farce than usual, and why the boys spend a lot of the film apart.

That said, there are some quite good bits: Ollie's glances to the camera are first class, and there are some epic double-takes from Jimmy Finlayson as Ollie's butler. It is undeniably funny, but you do get a sense of a film not quite making best use of its strongest assets.

I would say it was very good, the story line and characters are different and it is nice to have a unique storyline, you have to collect keys in order to complete tasks to progress through the story (there are a lot of similar games with this idea) but at the moment it is getting very boring because the storyline run out a couple of hundred levels ago so I am just collecting stars for what I don't know yet. The good thing is that I don't have to spend money as the levels are not too hard and can be passed after a few tries.

Soul Calibur VI
Soul Calibur VI
2018 | Fighting
I am a big fan of the Soul Calibur series. Soul Calibur VI is fantastic. There is a great story mode where you can play as the different characters and see their origin story. There is also a mode where you can create your own character and do various quests to move the story along. Arcade mode is in the game too of course so you can play matches with your friends. The game controls are excellent and the graphics for the game look fantastic. The voice acting and music for the game are great also. Soul Calibur VI is a lot of fun to play and very well done.

This book was a really enjoyable read. There are a lot of references to 80s pop culture and need culture, which I'm not a big fan of, but I still really enjoyed reading. My major complaint is a major spoiler. The premise is that everyone is competing to inherit a virtual reality universe essentially. Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but for a video game. There are a few main characters, and the main female is faster and smarter than the male who ends up winning, which I found frustrating. The book could have ended better if the female lead won, in my opinion. The ending was still good though.
