I really got emotionally involved in this story and it wasn't all focused on the romance - which I really enjoyed BTW. No, a lot of my emotions mirrored Whitley's in relation to her parents. How blind could they be to their daughter? I think my heart broke for her a few times.

As for having great friends I really liked Harrison and Nathan and how they forced her to be better to herself and made her realise she did have people out there who cared.

I really liked this story and will be keeping my eyes open for more books by the author.

What happened Stephen King?

When you think of Stephen King you think of Horror, Pennywise, Salems Lot, Creepshow etc etc.
Not when you watch this. The plot just seems so out of touch for Stephen King. Not his 'norm' at all. Maybe a good thing?

The plot? ODD.
At first I thought I was watching a young, pregnant couple. No, brother and sister. They seem too "involved" to be anything but romantic partners.
Then theres the strange, out of the blue characters (that do not blend in with the storyline), you meet along the way.
You will scream at the ending, all that for nothing.

Could have and should have been so much more.
Ever wonder what would happen if they got a bunch of the funniest women of SNL fame together to make a film what would happen? Well, apparently, the answer is not much. This movie lags from the get-go with opening jokes that miss their intended marks and continue throughout the film. All the female characters seem to lose any real individuality and just all mesh together in a blob of female stereotypes. Wanted to laugh so hard at all these funny women I've loved for years but found only a couple chuckles and a lot of boredom.

Spine chilling horror

I finished the audiobook a short while ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Set in the town of Jerusalem's Lot, the townsfolk are plagued by mysterious deaths that gradually increase in number. A vampire named Barlow is slowly turning citizens into creatures like himself, particularly creepy when it is a child.
The chills you get when reading the scene where Danny Glick scratches the window at Mark's window, is immense.
I love how King slowly moves through the town, setting up little character's lives and deaths, until almost the whole town has succumbed without anyone even realising.
I have great respect for Mark, what an awesome kid.
