It took me a while to get into this. If I'm honest, it was the introduction of Alex at around 50/60 pages in that had me getting excited. He was just different to everyone else, he teased Lena and acted like he hadn't been through the "cure".
Going off topic for a minute. Love as a disease and there being a cure for it? I was intrigued and put off by the idea at the same time.
However, seeing Lena being introduced to all these new things was sweet and Alex was probably the best guy for the job.
As for Lena, she annoyed me a little at the start, being so against anything that was new. At that point I liked her best friend Hana more, but seeing how bad it was for people who were different to what was expected, I got her reluctance and felt sorry for everyone living under the controlled conditions.
The ending has left me a little torn over whether to read Pandemonium next or not. I would really like to know what the heck's going to happen but at the same time, I'm not really in a rush to do so. Hmmm...what to do?

Its brilliant and contains almost all of our favourite characters from Al Addin to Juliet Capulet (she gets mentioned, anyway)
Im just sorry I missed the first two books in the series though they arent really necessary to understand this one, and I presume tell the story of two of the other couples mentioned in this one (Red and Nate and Lavender and Seth). I have to admit the author does a good job of making sure you dont miss out on much that happened in the previous books by retelling it from another characters viewpoint, though it isnt quite the same as reading it as it happened, if you know what I mean. It isnt necessary but it is an advantage to read Red and The Better to See You before this one.
That being said, the author has a great style of writing and I was quickly dragged into the story. Its a mix of action, mystery and romance. What more could you ask for?

Tucker was a charmer and I think I seriously fell for him in those first few pages. Then when he sticks up for her, considering he doesnt really know her, when her boyfriend comes in I went all *sigh* swooning.
Cass on the other hand has never believed she was worthy of more than she had and that was kinda hard to read. To believe you being hit and pushed around is all you deserve simply because youre hiding a bit of money away in the hopes of a better life is quite sad and I really felt for her.
But then Tucker appeared and showed her she could have more and again *sigh*
As you may have gathered I quite liked this book and Im looking forward to reading more from Cass and Tucker :)
