Alpha Rogue: volume 3
By Terry Bolryder

Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments

When Rose is sent to do surveillance on a rogue alpha working in the underground cage fighting circuit, she isn't expecting Hawes: a pretty boy with the looks of an adonis and the ability to easily crush opponents twice his size. She also isn't expecting him to be cocky, conceited, and too independent for his own good. Not to mention unwilling to listen to Rose when she tells him he's in danger.

But when Rose is the one threatened, she finds out there's more to the irritating alpha male than she thought. For one, he'll do anything to protect her. For two, he drives a Ferrari and owns a mansion. And for three, he sets her blood on fire when he kisses her.

Now if only they can escape the people chasing them long enough to figure out if there's something between them that's really worth fighting for.

Terry Bolryder does shifters well they are fast paced an got books! This one did not disappoint! I would recommend reading all 3 volumes one after the mother though.

A friend of mine recommended this book to me via GoodReads and as I occasionally read Historical Fiction, I thought I'd give it a go, especially whilst it is still at the promotional price on Amazon. I'm very glad that I did. Although this is Book 2 in the Secrets of the Zodiac series, you don't have to have read the first one (although I will be now, plus any others I can get!).

The story is very well-written with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout. I got the mole wrong but I'm so very glad that I did. I loved how it was written and all fell into place. This book swept me away to the Regency era where life for a woman, let alone a lady, was so very different, with different rules and regulations that she was supposed to follow. Put an independent woman in the mix who knows how to look after herself, along with a male who thinks that she isn't capable, and you're in for an explosive combination which makes for a terrific read.

I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the lookout for more in this series. Definitely recommended to all History Fiction fans out there.

This book is disturbing - it's as simple as that. However, it is also absolutely fantastically mind-blowing! The whole book is about a dystopian future where 'recruitment' happens once a year. Recruitment is basically another name for the forced enlistment of people, to be used as 'entertainment' for the troops. In a world where virgin is something that is said as an insult, and rapes of both male and female occur on an almost daily basis, you would not think that this book would be any good at all.

Wrong!

This book is exceptional. It is dark and fear-filled, it is horrific and stomach-churning, and yet it is also a book about hope, about a light that can shine in the darkness, about the comfort the human touch can bring, about love.

The V Girl is simply astounding. I am so glad that I have read it. I really can't recommend it highly enough - but please, take note of the trigger warnings. They are there for a reason as this book is full of unicorns and rainbows!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book; the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Psychology student Ashlyn Drake's neat, orderly life takes a turn for the crazy when she finds the perfect subject for her amnesia thesis - a young man without any memory of his previous life, including the murder he's accused of committing. Against all common sense, Ashlyn's drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

Perhaps it's that he's so incredibly male: even handcuffed to his hospital bed, he could pass for a cologne ad - Scent de Insanity. Or perhaps it's because she's spent too many lonely nights studying. Either way, she's determined to help him solve the mystery of his past.

But when she finally learns his secret, there's no telling which one is the real him, the gentle lover she's fallen for or the troubled man with a dark past...

I enjoyed this more than I thought I was going to. It was defo an interesting story and way to meet the man of your dreams. Very well written and plenty of spicy bits. Only thing that really got my back up was the name Ashlyn I don’t know why I just don’t like it!
