Iconic war film. (3 more)
Visually poetic, darkly humorous, uncompromisingly brutal!
It's very graphic, but enjoyable.
Never a dull moment in this movie.
Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket may not boast the most original of themes, but it is incredibly effective at communicating them.

"You can’t really have a list of top metal records without Metallica now, can you? I learned how to play pretty much this entire record as a kid (or at least to fumble through the riffs passably). It’s a classic of the genre."

"It’s a toss up between Requiem For A Dream or Full Metal Jacket. I love my war films, so I’d say the latter ‘cos it’s like two films in one! I’ve certainly felt like Private Pyle in my life. Especially in the media eye.”"

Metal fans! I spent some time putting together my dream Download line up poster.
My only rule was no dead people! So there are some bands that aren't together anymore. But just imagine that stage clashes don't exist and I reckon it's pretty solid. Enjoy!

"I’m really into quite a lot of the weird subgenres that span off from metal – metalcore, grind, mathcore and so on. For me this is one of the first (and best) experiments with the limits of the genre, and is still a heart-stoppingly brilliant listen."

Rolling Stone's 300th greatest album of all time
Great album by the grandfathers of metal. Kicking off with the coughing fit at the start of Sweet Leaf and its slow doom-laden pace. While Ozzy isn't the greatest singer, the rest of the band more than make up for it, with superb guitar and bass and fairly intricate, almost jazz-like drumming (which would become unusual for a heavy metal band). Sweet Leaf and Children of the Grave are superb, but the rest of the album is also really good and merits another listen (I usually stick to the We Sold Our Souls for Rock and Roll collection).

Dimebag Darrels best guitar playing.RIP
Best Pantera Album
By far the best Pantera album.Their second album and they mature into a tightly playing metal force of pure energy. As usual Dimebag Darrels spills powerful guitar riffs and screaming solos,to bad a legend was taken from us.

Good Sfx for the time, especially for the spaceship (3 more)
Funny
Good sound track
Feel good fun for the whole family
A blast from the past
One of my childhood faves. Funny scenes and one liners as well as a cool songs. The liquid metal spaceship effects were ahead of their time.

The cinematography was very good, especially in episodes "Metal Head " and the season finale were nicely shot. I'm not usually a fan of steadcam, but it's use it tracking of the "dogs " was prefect in its application. Wyatt Russell was also noteworthy. (0 more)
The actors have a tendency to "chew the scenery " at times. (0 more)
