Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2171 KP) rated How Droofus the Dragon Lost His Head in Books
Mar 9, 2018
This picture book follows a nice dragon as he gets separated from his family and eventually finds a great life for himself. It's a bit slow, at least for adults, but kids should still really enjoy it.

Dean (6925 KP) rated The Fighter (2010) in Movies
Feb 13, 2018
A solid boxing film based on a true story. This is all about the characters and Bale's performance is incredible and steals the show. More drama than a sports film or action film. It would have been nice to see a little more ring action, however the real story is the lives of the family members involved. Great film!

Another good technological based short from Bradbury. This is about the powers of technology and spoilt children.
I loved how even though the parents so desperately wanted to turn off their house, they couldn't quite resist it enough to do it, ending in a not so nice surprise.
Even with its predictable ending, this one gives you the shivers.

Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Baby Crochet Design: Hats and Booties in Books
Feb 13, 2018
Some really cute patterns in this lovely book. You will have to know how to crochet before you start as there is no 'how to crochet' in this book. I love the pineapple hat and booties. The pictures are very bright to the point I was squinting to try save my eyeballs lol. All in all a nice book.

Cody Cook (8 KP) rated Gospel: Recovering the Power that Made Christianity Revolutionary in Books
Jun 29, 2018
A fairly entry level book on the gospel, which is what I wanted-- it helps to be reminded of the basics. The last half is practical application stuff which was nice, but not quite as helpful for me personally. Could be a good book for newer Christians. Also, if you're a preacher, it would preach well. Very helpful illustrations.

I freaking loved this book - I loved the person who narrated it for audio, all around this book was amazing! I've read a few books with MM relationships (Silvera) but the alien aspect was quite awesome, and it was hilarious in points, sad in others, it had a nice balance.
I can't wait to read another
