I liked the idea behind the story but it didn't quite have the emotion in it that I like for my mm romances. I didn't get pulled into the story and feel the characters emotions myself.

It was definitely something different with the president falling for a Secret Service agent and I really did like that about it. It has some prominent political moments and some good action scenes but I'm not sure if I've been drawn into the series enough to continue it.

3 good, but not for me, stars
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This book seems to be a spin-off form the author's series Less Than Zero. Those guys pop up here, but I didn't think I missed anything by not reading them before this one.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this book, and you all know I'm all about sharing the book feelings. So, I'm gonna say what I liked, and maybe what didn't work will wing it's way out.

I liked that both Jordan and Peter are given a voice, although that first meeting was all from Jordan. I loved that we did NOT get that first meeting, in all its glory, right as it happened. I loved that it comes in memories from both of them. I think had we had it all at the beginning, I might have dumped this one, so well played to the author for not doing that. I loved the way it all comes out along the way.

It's steamy and smexy, oh yes but I found the emotional connection a little lacking in the beginning. But then again, 10 years since their first encounter would stunt anyone's connection.

There was a lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication between these two. I'm not sure whether that worked for me or not, to be honest!

I'm gonna wrap up: I liked this book, I finished it. Will I go back and read the series this spins off? Not at this time.

3 good, but maybe not for me, stars

Beastars, Volume 1 was interesting. I liked it, but am not sure how the story will progress. It's a manga about animal students in a boarding school, and what happens when a tragedy strikes. The animal students are divided into herbivores and carnivores, so there are immediate issues at stake.

I can't say I liked the style of this, it didn't flow too smoothly for me. And it was hard to discern between what Nikki was thinking and what others were saying in her mind since there were no italics used to show it easily.

BUT I have to admit that despite that, I kind of got pulled into the story. The hunt for Jasper almost had me as bloodthirsty as Michael and I found it quite hard to leave alone. It was nearly constant action with hardly any slow bits for me to get bored.

As for the romance between Nikki and Michael, I'm not sure if I was convinced by it. It all seemed sort of sudden.

I have books 2 and 3 in the series but I'm not sure if I'll be continuing the series yet.

I got swallowed up in the hype with this one, a friend wouldn't let it go until I agreed to take this out of the library. It's not my usual type of read so I didn't want to buy it. I'm glad I agreed to pick this one up as I did enjoy it. It wasn't as 'amazing' as it was made out to be but it was a humorous page-turner. The MC was a bit annoying and whiny, she also put herself into some situations that were a bit far-fetched but I liked the other characters. Unfortunately, the library doesn't have the second instalment and I'm not going to buy it so I'm not sure if I'll get to read the rest. I'm pretty sure there's about 15 books so far in this series, that's a bit too much of a challenge for me.

I saw this film, FINALLY; the first showing in IMAX on the 31st via 'Early Access'. It was completely amazing on IMAX and it definitely needs to be seen that way, since that was the film Nolan shot it on.

I was glad that a movie made me think and I gave all of my attention to it. Honestly, I was able to figure out a lot of it before it was revealed, but that wasn't a bad, Hint, whenever you think something is a weird continuity error, it's not, it's intentional. The in-camera effects (as Nolan calls it) were AMAZING, Only Nolan could convince a working airport to let him crash a real plane into a building. Directors should take note that practical effects will ALWAYS look better than CGI.

The cast was amazing, and John David Washington, holy cow does he have physical prowess. I love Robert Pattinson in almost everything, and I really liked his character.

I can't say at this point whether I absolutely loved it, or just like it. I had this same issue with Dunkirk, where I know I liked it, but not how much (BTW I loved it after the 2nd viewing). I've already booked my ticket to see Tenet again on Friday.

EDIT: I saw Tenet again, and now I know for sure, that I really liked it! I'm pretty sure Robert Pattinson is my favorite character in the whole film.

I finally got around to seeing John Wick. I liked it! It's great action movie fun all the way through. The choreographed fight scenes were done well, considering the fact that that was the majority of the film. It's sometimes difficult to have that many and not have them all end up looking the same in the end. I'm not sure what took me so long to watch the movie. I'm glad I finally did!

You know - Like 2.5 stars on re-read - I guess perhaps I outgrew KA? I have read (and own) nearly every single book she's written - I'm starting a re-read to get final books in series and know what's going on - Colorado Mountain I recently re-read and enjoyed so not sure what was up with this one - I thought Indy was a bit annoying, though independence is great - I really liked Lee so I guess it has nothing to do with that - I liked the neighbours and I liked the overall exciting storyline (as usual, I mean that's one place the book truly shines) I don't know - I won't continue re-reading this series though and move onto my other ones I need to finish

So, I was 90% sure that I had already read this book but now that I have reread it I am not sure.

I read this book back in middle school right after I read "Gathering Blue" and all I remember was that it was sad and that I liked it. Now that I am 27, I figured I needed to try it out again. I'm definitely glad that I read this again. I didn't remember anything. It was like a brand new book.

First off, the characters were fascinating and I loved the depressing feeling of this book. If you're in a bad mood, this definitely isn't the book to read. I found myself angry, depressed, and frustrated throughout most of the book. The dystopian feel of the book was really good.

All in all, it was a good book.

I'm not sure about this story. Half the time I didn't understand their relationship and the other half I was swooning. It was a little strange.

One minute I liked Twitch, the next not so much. And then it would be repeated. I just found it all a little odd but at the same time I couldn't stop reading it. Hence the three star rating.

That ending had me in tears! And then that extra little bit has made me need to read the next one. WTF? You can't make me sad and then surprise me like that, it isn't a good look on me lol.
