I've read a lot of novels based on classical mythology, and they're normally either really good, or really poor. This was definitely one of the better ones. Of course, I'm familiar with the story, however I'm more familiar with The Oresteian Trilogy by Aeschylus. I liked how the characters were fleshed out, and the story was completely engaging.

This is my first Hilary Liftin book and it won't be my last! This book was fun and quick. These Bookshots are the perfect read for the in between novels as you decide what you're going to read next. Definitely worth 4 stars and recommendations. The characters are quirky and make their way into your heart to stay.

This novella could serve as an excellent taste of the Elantra series if a reader didn't want to commit to something as long as one of the novels, as it occurs before the series begins, when Kaylin is a teen, It is the tale of her first days with the Hawks, and it is wonderful. I really enjoyed it.

Fantastic!!
If you like mysteries and solving murders then this series which goes from series 1-13 is for you! The two main characters booth and bones are so different that they compliment each other and extremely funny as you see they're growing relationship. Brilliantly created from the novels by Kathy Reich's! Well done

David McK (3562 KP) rated Mount Dragon. Labor des Todes in Books

I'd read both 'Relic' and 'Reliquary' quite a few years back, and had enjoyed them both.
Based on those two novels, I decided to give 'Mount Dragon' a shot as well. Unfortunatley, this is nowhere near as enjoyable as those other two books: I found this one to be slow, heavy going, and totally lacking in any charismatic characters.
