I liked this movie, for what it was. I realize that it's based on a series of novels, and doesn't even begin to touch on much in the books. It did start slowly for me. I wish there were more dragons in it. I feel like I got cheated from looking at the DVD case and reading the synopsis. Lol I did enjoy it, though. It wasn't the best movie that I've ever seen, but it definitely wasn't the worst.

"I’m a big fan of S. E. Hinton and her handful of early young-adult novels. Rumble Fish is a great adaptation, and I really love the approach that Coppola took with it—he shot it immediately after shooting The Outsiders, and by comparison Rumble Fish is much smaller, bolder, and more esoterically artsy while still being true to the spirit of the book. You get the sense that he really enjoyed making it. Also, the Stewart Copeland soundtrack is great. "

This is a historical fiction mystery novel that takes place in England during the era of the Great War (WWII). As some of my readers know, I’ve been looking for good mystery books that will compare to those of the late, great Agatha Christie. Find out if “Murder in Belgravia,” Lynn Brittany’s first book in the Mayfair 100 Mystery Novels succeeded in filling the void that Christie left in my review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2018/03/24/these-books-may-fare-well/

I have never really been into science fiction novels, steering more toward fantasy. Enders game was probably the first science fiction book I've read and I was so impressed. The idea of video gamers being chosen for war is brilliant and the development of all the characters is very intriguing. The psychology used on the kids is fascinating, brutal and so effective its scary. Loved delving into this novel and hope one day theres a film that is actual worth it.
