"Six stories are told in this movie, and all are entertaining and enjoyable. However, because these are short stories, I found some ended too soon, left me wanting more, to find out what happened next, and one or two had disappointing endings. The pick of the stories are 'El más fuerte', about a road rage incident that escalates and the last story, 'Hasta que la muerte nos separe', about a wedding that goes very very badly! I would have liked some connection between each story, like a character appearing in each, but as it is it still comes highly recommended."

The Haunting of Hill House
By Shirley Hackson
⭐️⭐️

Hill House stood abandoned six miles off the road. Four people came to learn its secrets. But, Hill House, stood holding darkness within. Whoever walked there, walked alone.

This has been on my tbr forever and yay I finally got round to it. I was expecting more I found one little part a bit eerie but other than that it was spooky or creepy or scary. I like watching the characters change but it just wasn’t enough! A classic it may be but just didn’t do it for me especially when it’s classed as a classic horror!

"Someone told me that the middle of the road is the only place you definitely get run over, and this is very obvious, housewife soul… you can’t say that any more, can you? But I just like how it’s created. I get really into the fact that the band used to just bang out these songs, they’d put down these drum tracks then Al Green would just come in at the last minute and sing on top of it all. They’re so patterned, cyclical, and he just it off. It’s a load of faux, pre-religious romantic nonsense, but really well done. They were kind of cynical, I reckon. ‘Let’s knock a few of these out in a day and we’re on!’ They’re kind of simple songs when you look back at it, there’s a lack of depth to Al Green, but he’s got such a good voice, and such a good drummer. And age has made it sound cooler, but the core isn’t cool at all."
