Not the first place I will do for book reviews
Overall it is a nice review platform, I would not stake my opinions on a book from what it says, but use it as one resource.

OK The 2018 Oscar nominations are out.

I know we all have our own opinions about which movies should have been nominated; however, we don't make the rules. This year's list is an interesting one.

Which movie do you think will win? (Not which deserves to win). Please feel free to comment your thoughts below as well.

"When I was at school there was a book that was very popular called Seven Types of Ambiguity. One of the things it criticized was something called ‘The Author’s Intention.’ You’ve got to discard the author’s intention. It doesn’t matter what the author’s intention in the piece is, or what his interpretation of the piece is, or what his evaluation or estimation of the piece is. It exists independently of his opinions about it."

Wanna play??

Join me, a horror fanatic, in film discussions, gruesome polls and share your reviews.

Since the age of 4 I have watched horror, it has become my life. I still have a DVD collection of over 400 horror films, my pride and joy. I love reviewing new additions but my speciality is remakes.

No-one does it better than the original gang.

This young adult fantasy is well written, keeps your interest and is full of action. I certainly enjoyed the romance between Rose and Rayce as it was a sweet love. This author is off to a fantastic start and I'm hoping there's a second book!!

This book has it all!! A story line that kept me on the edge of my seat. Characters that come to life right in front of you and the perfect combination of mystery and suspense. This is an all around fantastic read and you won't want to put it down!

I received an eARC via Clean Teen Publishing Elite Reviewers which I am a member of. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are my own.

I was magically transported to Italy while reading this well written story line. The characters are well developed and the romance is clean and endearing. I felt like I was caught up in the story and had a difficult time putting my Kindle down.

SMASHBOMB AWARDS

Hey Influencers!

I wanted to gauge everyone's opinions on an end of year Smashbomb Awards?

I already have some ideas in mind :)

We could work together as a collective to come up with different categories - and nominees etc - and who better to bring all these ideas together than the influencers?

I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks as a basis and seeing what we can all come up with from here!

@Dean That's the kind of thing we need to decide! Now that I've got everyone interested (Thanks everyone btw!), I can come up with some quick polls that can help us narrow down the whole idea :)

Are you talking about awards for books and films, etc., themselves? Or for the users that post on Smashbomb?

I think this book was great !
The main characters are sweet, they have to deal with real life problems (which would be good conversation starters) and they have hearts to save all different types of animals! I would definitely recommend reading it for middle school grade kids because of the length.
I volunteered to read this book in return for my honest feed back from Just Read Tours. The thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.
