Awesome book! I was new to the series but knew this could be read as a standalone. After this, I'll surely be going back for more! Really loved the characters.. Bronx was a sweetheart and I loved Ryan to death.. tough as nails and determined to find out the truth about her past, she lives numb for years trying to get close enough to the one person who can tell her the truth. What she finds out is nothing like she ever expected. Excellent writing with an interesting storyline that just drags you in from the start!

But in its exploration of a daring subject boldly shared (and written by a librarian at Fisk University) I think it has immense value. It enables us to see and understand, perhaps for the first time, the choices certain women have made about how they will live their lives, and allows us glimpses at physical intimacies between women that have been, in the past, deliberately ridiculed or obscured."
