Volume 3 of Orphans was pretty dark because of what was going on in the story. Lines were drawn, lines were crossed, people were betrayed. Another good volume, though not quite as personally engaging as the second one.

"I saw these in my twenties, and loved their vulgarity, their escapism, and Pasolini’s belief that in former times, people were freer about their bodies and life was more fun. They are illicit travelogues, joyous and, probably, wrong."

"Wet Hot American Summer is a classic comedy and if it’s on I’m gonna finish watching it. What’s to say? It’s just like a bunch of f***ing ridiculously funny people. It’s just so stupid. It’s so good."

"An urbane American marriage seen from above — a kind of exquisite horror story of the deathly chic of people having all their bases covered and somehow missing the point all the same. Very, very beautiful. Very, very sad."

"A recent film. But man, I had to pick a Quentin Tarantino film. I’m a really big fan. He’s super unique. I appreciate the people who have a thing that’s completely different than whatever anyone else is doing."
