The Outsider
The Outsider by Stephen King follows Ralph Anderson as he pursues a murder investigation as a Police Detective. To elaborate further, the investigation leads Ralph Anderson to the murder of a young boy, who was also sexually assaulted by the now, unknown murderer. Terry Maitland, a married man and Coach of Youth Sports, is a highly respected member of society, but he is to become suspected of murder owing to irrefutable Forensic Evidence and Witness Statements.
Despite this, Terry Maitland denies this immediately, and has an alibi which is seemingly irrefutable, just as the Forensic Evidence and Witness Statements against him were. His alibi positions him hours away from the where the murder occurred. Terry Maitland was now a man able to be in two places at once.
An absolutely enthralling book by Stephen King which I was unable to put down, and thoroughly enjoyed reading. Admittedly, The Outsider was one of the first Stephen King books that I read; I have since read multiple of his books.

Pranked By Arnold
This is one of the baddest movies that Stallone has been in. Its so bad that its good?
The plot: Smarting from a romantic breakup, macho police Sgt. Joe Bomowski (Sylvester Stallone) gets a cross-country visit from his mother, Tutti (Estelle Getty). Her misguided efforts to help only fray his nerves, but that doesn't stop her from nagging Joe to be more open about his feelings toward his ex-girlfriend and current boss, Lt. Gwen Harper (JoBeth Williams). When Tutti witnesses a brutal multiple murder, she takes her meddling to the extreme by tagging along to help her son solve the case.
Sylvester Stallone signed onto the film based on rumors that Arnold Schwarzenegger was interested in the lead. In October 2017, Schwarzenegger confirmed a rumor that, knowing the script was "really bad", he had publicly faked interest in starring for producers to lure Stallone.
So Arnold pranked Stallone to get him into this movie that is so funny.
Dont watch this film, its not good.

Sarah (7800 KP) rated Phantom (Harry Hole #9) (Oslo Sequence #7) in Books

Thrilling
Reading this book has made me realise why reading a book series out of order is a bad idea. I've already read the direct follow on sequel to this, the 10th book Police, plus the 11th book The Thirst. So reading this afterwards may have spoilt it a little, which is a shame as it's a very good read.
I like the Harry who's no longer a policeman, as he's allowed to breach the rules he's stepped over many times and it makes for a thrilling and entertaining story. The plot itself isn't as convoluted and farfetched as some of the other books in this series, yet it's full of twists and turns and it's very well written. The ending, had I not read the following books, would be a huge surprise and the twist about the murder I definitely didn't see this coming.
Whilst it's not quite as good as The Snowman, this is definitely one of the best books in the series. I just need to go and re-read the sequel now.

Adventurous album taking on the uplifting but also brutality of reality and it's every day themes.
A new (different) album from Coldplay, which is definitely revealing their experimentation. The band take on heavy themes of love, war, racism, faith, gun control, friendship, climate change, police brutality and other every day themes in life. It is a double album consisting of 'Sunrise' and 'Sunset', which reveals the difference between the every day highs and lows of the above mentioned themes.
The opening of 'Sunrise' is set beautifully with string arrangements, with the lead violinist doing an excellent job of playing uplifting but also emotional tones to set the mood for the themes. Good versus bad, happy versus sad.
Coldplay never venture far from meeting with Eastern and Western sounds to encourage the acceptance of different religions and ethnicities.
'Sunset' is accompanied with loungey rhythm and blues tones which compliment the themes and meaningful lyrics.
However I can't help but note that I feel some depth is missing to convey their messages.

Romantic thriller remake. A daring robbery from a New York museum leads the police and an insurance investigator to suspect insanely wealthy and clever tycoon Thomas Crown, but can the investigator keep her mind on the job when the sparks start a-fizzing between her and the suspect?
The world is made up of people who prefer the Steve McQueen version and those who like this one (and I suppose there are conceivably a few folk who've seen neither): I am in the Brosnan camp, although this film does kind of miss the point that Crown only steals for the fun of it in the original (Brosnan's character clearly appreciates art). Much more of a romantic drama than an actual thriller, but well played and engaging, and the set pieces, when they eventually come, are clever and well-staged. As a chance for Brosnan (then at the apogee of his Bond success) to show his range, it's a qualified success (Crown is another suave, high-living thrill seeker with possible commitment issues), but as a piece of entertainment it does the job.
