Killer Workouts Are Fun for Us
Sho Tanaka and Levi Blue have decided to make a triathlon the first item they tackle on their bucket lists. When they go to the local gym to sign up to train, Levi manages to get them jobs as background extras in an aerobics video being shot the next day. However, when one of the stars dies during the first scene, Levi is ready to jump in and find the killer. Will Sho go along with it? Will they figure out what is going on?

While this is the first book in the series, it follows the novella that really introduces the characters. I read them out of order, but I didn’t have trouble figuring out the main characters and their relationships. There are plenty of laughs, especially in the beginning, but as the book progresses, things get more serious, lending itself to some great characters moments. Not that the humor ever goes completely away. Meanwhile, we have a strong mystery that kept me guessing until the very end. I will definitely be back for the prequel soon.

CAPTURING THE BARON'S HEART is a prequel story to the Wildeward Academy series and tells you more about Victoria's parents - Kate and Dorian. You also find out a bit more about the Wild Hunt but only enough to tease and tantalise.

Where to start? This is as richly detailed as her other books, giving you insight and delight at the ton's machinations. The wizards play their role and confirm what I knew all along - give me a witch over a wizard any day!

I loved how this led up to what I already know from reading the other books in this series. The only complaint I have is that now I want to re-read all of them again, to immerse myself in Victoria's adventures as she grows and becomes the Darkling Child of Prophecy.

Absolutely amazing and I loved every word. Highly recommended but make sure you read the other ones too!

A Crazy Caper Set in a Galaxy Far, Far Away
Rogue One is a fantastic film. It feels so fresh, despite being "a Star Wars Story," mostly because it is so different than any of the movies in the main saga. Better yet, it functions as an awesome prequel to the original trilogy. Even if you're of mind to forget Star Wars 1-3, I'm betting you'll be more than willing to add this movie to the start of your Original Trilogy marathons. Rogue One is a delightful mash of a couple genres, most notably spy, heist, and war films, and it works so well. It's a ground level look at the Rebellion and their efforts to steal plans to the Death Star, shown through the point-of-view of regular soldiers with no apparent Force powers to speak of. It's a thrilling ride, and one that also gets you invested in its well-written characters in a fairly short amount of time. Oh, and Disney, is there any way Alan Tudyk can come back to the series?

Definitely killed a few brain cells
The concept behind The Purge films is kind of good I guess? (If you don't think about it too hard), but none of them have really delivered much to the horror genre, and this prequel somehow delivers less to the point where it actually takes away from the horror genre!

I found myself disinterested in any of the characters after just a few minutes. So much so, that when the first 'Purge' actually begins, I just found myself thinking 'why?' Why are these characters even taking part, why are so many people taking part (surely they can't all have weird murder boners), why did this film even get passed a storyboard phase, why am I still watching!?

It's just dumb, and not even in a slightly so-dumb-its-good way.
Any scares or horror are completely absent, to the point where the film devolves into a low quality action B-movie rip off of The Raid.

The whole sorry affair just seemed like an excuse for some people to whack some contact lenses in and roam about with 'sinister' grins on their faces, like a pack of 14 year olds who have had one too many cans of Monster Energy.

Won't be watching this one again! ?

I agree, so bad compared to the original Purge film.

I haven't watched the Amazon Prime series yet - maybe that fairs a bit better?

Bethany Drake has sworn off men and nothing her friend says can change that. Even though the man Lizzy points to for her one night stand is drool worthy. She wouldn’t settle no matter that he looked delicious in his suit. She had no idea that her plans and thoughts were going to be changed for a lifetime.
The author really knew how to get you caught up in this prequel. Making sure you go in for more and read the next book. I was hooked when I started to read this book and didn’t atop until I reached the end.
The chemistry between the characters will have you fanning yourself just from the word play. Let’s not forget the mind blowing loving. Adam was perfect and was ready to accept every flaw Beth had. He was an alpha when she need it and sweet and tender when the time called for it. I mean the man could convenience her out her comfort zone in seconds.
Beth was my perfect woman. She’s confident and independent. Her only flaw was her blindness in her growing feeling for Adam. You will most definitely want to pick up this book for your book boyfriend list.

CGI was terrific

You don't need to know about resident evil

I only liked a couple of characters, rest were kinda boring
One of the best video game movie adaptions
This was a lot of fun. 1 of the best adaptions if a video game and also 1 of the best resident evil movies too.

The CGI was great and I'd love the next reboot of the movie franchise to be done like this rather than live action. For a CGI movie the shots were great, I loved the little parts where it felt like a first person view.

The action was great and the acting was good but I only liked a couple of the characters and I do prefer regular zombies to the parasites type sadly.

I can see myself watching this again. I heard this was a prequel to resident evil 6 so I do like this ties into the video games more than the live action does. It feels like a standalone movie so you don't necessarily need to have watched other movies or played the games before which is good.

A decent Transformers film for a change
I dont really know much about the original Transformers other than a vague recollection of watching the cartoon as a child. However for once we actually have a decent Transformers films on our hands - just goes to show what you can achieve without Michael Bay at the helm.

This is a fairly good 80s buddy style film, it reminded me a lot of ET which I suppose isn't a surprise seen as Spielberg has had some involvement in this too. Hailee Steinfeld is always charismatic and endearing in any film she's in and her character's sweet relationship with Bee really makes this film. And the 80s soundtrack is marvellous. It's amazing what a good soundtrack can do for a film. But don't get me wrong this film isn't perfect. John Cena for starters really can't act and should never be cast in anything, Charlie's family and story are ridiculously cliched and the plot itself drags a little especially during the middle and it's beyond predictable. This however is a million times better than the other over complicated action messes that were the other Transformers films, although as much as it's a fairly fun and entertaining film, it's a prequel we didn't necessarily need to see.

Just another good Telltale game (0 more)
Very Good Prequel

Whether this game is "canon" or not, they did a good job telling this story. I am not a hard core Walking Dead fan, but I watched enough to know what was going on in the game. This story covers the adventures of Lee and Clementine. The two go through many good times and through some bad times. As with the Telltale series, your decisions and actions decide the outcome of the game to an extent. Lee and Clementine find different friends along the way that help them get through the apocalyptic world. They also run across some not so friendly people. For instance a family that turned to cannibalism to survive...yikes! Lee protects Clem and Clem protects Lee. Of course you heart is ripped out when Lee is attacked by a walker and bitten only to get infected. In his dying breath he tells Clem to stay strong and be smart. You can also have a negative effect on Clem and your friends. It's all up to you. You even run into Glenn at one point. In the end...I recommend this game, especially if you are a fan of the Walking Dead series

A little too out there
The first Cube film for me was always an underrated low budget cult classic, and definitely a precursor for the likes of Saw etc. The original was a great idea with just enough maths and science to make it believable and not completely ridiculous. Sadly the same can’t be said about this sequel.

They’ve gone far too over the top on the science that whilst it does make some sense, it makes the whole idea of the cube a completely silly and ridiculous idea. And the ending itself as far as the cube goes is just laughably bizarre. There’s also the general plot and story, which seems to have left out all of the bits from the original that made it interesting - like the scary traps and numbered doors. Some of the characters are interesting, others are just carbon copies from the original or completely pointless and forgettable. You can tell they’ve got a bigger budget with the amount of CGI in this, it’s just a shame it’s rather poor and lacks the punch of the physical traps used in the original.

This is a rather sorry excuse for a sequel, and not one I’d recommend watching. The third film and prequel Cube Zero is a much better watch.
