What an interesting book! I guess I could describe myself best as a skpetic...it's not that I don't believe. I've seen the power of prayer works it's magic, but I've also seen many unanswered prayers too. This book made me believe just a little bit more. How can one question the logic & sincerity of a 4 year old?
This book is normally not my style, but it was a wonderful story, made all the more interesting by the fact that it really happened. If nothing else check it out for that purpose alone. You don't have to believe to take something from this book.

The Lies are Pretty Big..

At the recommendation of a friend, I dug into this book right away. I really enjoyed the characters and I kept waiting for the surprise that was promised. Having read some of this author's other books, it did not take me long to figure out how the characters came together. I really enjoyed the story and would recommend this to anyone who wanted to get swept away in the story based on a PTA like group. Their original purpose was to improve the school, but the mothers become mafia-like in their power moves

There was not a single thing I didn't like about this show. It had me hooked from the beginning. I felt extremely involved and connected to the characters. This show made me think about the whole scenario if I were in the same spots as these girls and how I would react.

I also think the Handmaiden's show the real purpose and necessity for community. Without each other being able to communicate with each other, most of them would not have lasted as long as they did.

I am so ready for season 2.

Origami Jewelry by Mayumi Jezewski is a book about beautiful origami jewelry that gives easy to follow instructions. The jewelry style are for all ages. Some for kids. Some for teenagers. Some for young adults. Lastly, some for adults. The jewelry will not last for ever but what I like most is that it can be made to fit your style. It am not very good at origami but I found it fun to create some of the jewelry.

I received an advance reader edition of this book from Dover Publications via NetGalley for the purpose of providing an honest review.

At the beginning of this book I was not at all connected with the main character. I could never imagine what he had experienced but he felt like he was a bit whiny (for lack of a better word) and lacked drive and direction. I believe that to be on purpose as the story continues and there is another tragedy Moss comes into his own. If you had told me I would cry for these characters by the end I certainly wouldn't have believed you, but cry I did. This story is important and the message that anger when wielded correctly is incredibly powerful.
