Just yes!
I was a bit skeptical about this book but thought I'd give it a go because it sounded a bit like a take on St George and the Dragon or Beauty and the Beast and I am so glad I did as this is now one of my favourite books to re-read!

I loved that it wasn't easy for the main character to learn magic, that the characters progressed in a more likely timeline than other books I've read and that it wasn't always a happy ending for the characters in the book. I don't like to give spoilers away but I nearly ripped apart the prince in the book for what he was about to do and for how pig headed he is in sacrificing so many for one person that is very likely heavily corrupted and unsaveable.

The world is incredibly vivid without over explaining or being over descriptive. I know what is going to happen in the book but I am constantly in suspense over what is going to happen next in the book every time I read it... I will have to re-read it again soon after this review as I now have it on my mind.

Wright on!
I have now read a few of Iain Rob Wright's books (which I will get round to reviewing soon). The Room Upstairs was the latest read and I have to say that, like all his books so far, it was a rollicking good read. Wright delivers a good balance of horror and dark humour. I have often been reminded of the old tv show Hammer House of Horror whilst reading his books (a good thing for me at least). Recommended reading

When Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy find a magic wardrobe leads them to a new land, they also learn they hold the key to a prophecy that will end the eternal winter brought on by an evil witch. I first read this book in 3rd grade. I loved it then. I love it now. A magical story that captures the imagination.

i think this book and me just met at the wrong time because when I finally got I to this I did really enjoy it however it took me a FRICKING long time to get into it. I was in a YA rut and this was the first non YA book that I read in a LONG time and I just don't think I was ready for the world of adult fiction again but this book honestly was so well written and such an uplifting story it just didn't agree with me right now but I would like to give it another chance but for now it's a no

I am hooked on the Percy Jackson series. It reminds me of Harry Potter, but with a bit more of an academic edge to it. I didn't like the 2nd book as much as the 1st, but it was still an entertaining read. I'm going to go start the 3rd one right now. BTW, I saw the movie for Book 1...did NOT like it at all. The book was MUCH better!!!!

Hmm

Well I've had this on my Kindle for about six years now and honestly, after finishing it, I'm wondering why it's taken me so long to getting around to reading it.

It ended a little too abruptly but I enjoyed this story. It's been a while since I read a book where the characters controlled the elements so it was a nice change.

I'm looking forward to the other three brother's stories

Unlike the other short M/M book I've read today, I didn't particularly enjoy this one. It started good but I lost interest once things started heating up between out decorator and gardener. It just didn't grab me, it was all sex with no feelings...maybe I'm being unfair by comparing it to the one I like better earlier, but that's the way I'm feeling right now.

I won't be continuing the series.

So, i haven't read the book this is based off of, but I did just start it yesterday. I've also seen this movie twice now (thanks moviepass).
I really liked the film, it was heavy on the nostalgia, which I didn't mind at all. I don't think another director could have directed this film, Spielberg's direction was fantastic.
The cast was my fantastic, I completely didn't realize Halliday was Mark Rylance from Dunkirk. I'm also glad Simon Pegg ended up in the movie, because you can't really have this nerdy of a movie without him.
Side note: I didn't know why Drafthouse was promoting so much for this movie until I read that the author lives here in Austin.
My opinion may change after I read the book, but for now, it's a 9.

4.5 stars.

I enjoyed this. The banter; the attraction; the relationship.

I wasn't sure about this book; whether I wanted to read it; would I like it. And the answer now I have is yes and yes.

It hooked me in from early on and I so wasn't expected that to happen in the first chapter, not with how Chloe had described Bennett. And then I had to laugh when she just left him there and I knew I was going to really like it. Then as the hot sex and insults continued throughout, I just wanted to shout, "Get on with it and admit how you feel, you idiots!"

There was a nice progression to it, their feelings didn't suddenly occur, you saw it happen and I loved that.

I think I need to read the rest of the series now to see how some of the other characters and Bennett and Chloe's story continues.

Ah Eleanor. Its been a few months since I read this and even now I occasionally find myself wondering how she is doing.
I worried at 1st that Eleanor was going to be TOO quirky and annoying, but before I knew it I was rooting for her so much.
