Healing Him (Bromley Brothers #2) by Laura N. Andrews
Healing Him is the second book in the Bromley Brothers series, and I was thoroughly looking forward to delving into their world once more, and I have to say I was not disappointed!
This time we concentrate on Henry. He is a Dom who has just agreed with his submissive they will not make a new contract. After seeing how happy his younger brother, Trey, is, Henry knows he wants more. What he wasn't expecting was the lightening bolt he got the first time he met Ryan. Ryan has issues, and with good reason. He is hurt and wounded, emotionally as well as physically, and it takes Henry time and patience to get through to him.
I really loved Henry in this book, and he could be a model boy for how to be a Dom. He was kind, caring, and patient, but he also let Ryan know when he had overstepped. He understood what Ryan was going through, and helped him in every way he could, which did NOT mean Ryan kowtowing down to Henry at every moment.
This was sensitively written in a way that in no way lessened the impact of what Ryan went through. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, and I read it through from start to finish in one sitting. Who needs to eat, after all? An amazing continuation to the series, and now I'm waiting oh so patiently for Trav's story. Absolutely recommended by me.

Oversight is the second book in The Community series, and you do have to read book one to fully understand what is going on as events that happened in Insight are constantly referenced. The story this time focuses on Holden. He is the owner/manager of Evolution, the LGBT club that featured in book one. The fall out from those events are still going on, but Holden is doing his best with what he has. His father turns up (and caring and emotional are NOT words I would use to describe him!) and basically gives Holden to a babysitter. Six is someone Holden remembers from his youth, but it is hard to equate the two as Six has changed - or been changed - so much.
Once again, the story is full of mystery and suspense. I think I know who one of the mystery characters is, and now I just need to wait to see if I am correct! We also reacquainted ourselves with Trent and Nate, who continue to be favourites of mine. This story is excellently written, with major character development, especially in Holden. I didn't much like him in the first book, but saw a different side to him in this one. Once again, the story is full of mystery and suspense. I think I know who one of the mystery characters is, and now I just need to wait to see if I am correct! We also reacquainted ourselves with Trent and Nate, who continue to be favourites of mine. This story is excellently written, with major character development, especially in Holden. I didn't much like him in the first book, but saw a different side to him in this one. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, so I would not hesitate to recommend this book.
One difference to book one though is no epilogue for our main characters Instead, it ends with things very much in the air, which will definitely leave you wanting more!

Demon Crew is the fifth book in The Wolfborne Saga and we continue with Zev and Virgo being part of a super-secret government agency... although Zev didn't actually agree to any of it! I admire Zev's resilience and his ability to forgive because I honestly don't think I would be able to do so! There is also a new woman in Zev's life although he's not sure if he actually likes this one as she is dhampir. Needless to say, the action and adventure start immediately and Zev remains the humble hero.
Now, I'm going to admit that I wasn't all that happy about reading this book. Virgo really did me in at the end of the last one and the thought of Zev back in chains did absolutely nothing for me. However, Ms. Alsop has managed to win me over yet again. Not only did I enjoy this book but it has become my favourite (so far) of the series! And yes, I know I've moved that title as I've read through the series, but that should tell you something!!!
As with all the books, this one leaves you on a cliffhanger, wanting more. The world continues to delight with all the action and fights you could ask for. The characters are lifelike and full of sarcasm and wit. The pacing is once again smooth and will keep you turning the pages. I really can't recommend either the book or the series highly enough.

Now, I'm going to admit that I wasn't all that happy about reading this book. Virgo really did me in at the end of the last one and the thought of Zev back in chains did absolutely nothing for me. However, Ms. Alsop has managed to win me over yet again. Not only did I enjoy this book but it has become my favourite (so far) of the series! A page-turning re-look at a classic

But she's also fascinated by the tale of Bea, who built herself up from nothing through her company. Can she ever compare to Bea--and win Eddie's heart? And what really happened the night Bea and Blanche died?

I read this book solely because it's billed as a loose retelling of Jane Eyre, which is one of my absolute favorite books. Loose is definitely the right word for it, but this also a gloriously fun read with some exciting twists and turns.
The Wife Upstairs is a page-turner that kept me frantically reading. Yes, parts of it are somewhat predictable, but Eddie is a fascinating rogue and Jane a mysterious lead. Who is telling the truth, what happened in the past, and what on earth is going on now--you'll find yourself swirled up in all these questions as you flip the pages.
Overall, this a foreboding and enjoyable thriller, with plenty to entertain its readers. 3.5 stars.

Ok so I’ve read a few of Terry Bolryders books now and they follow a pattern and are decent reads, after finishing the Tiger box set this was added to the end and I found myself getting emotional god knows if it’s just me but this story was one of the best! I absolutely loved the Tor! These books are fabulous for those that love the shifters!

So I’m such a drip and didn’t realise it was an ongoing series so that answers the end of my review of the first book! So more haunted objects are sold into the world with horrifying results. It’s getting a little more personal and now he has little Annie back. Also Stefan has seriously pissed off daddy! I still think it was very rushed like the first book. Walters rifle could have featured a little more. Still a decent horror read.

Courtney Cole, what have you done to me?! I just finished Nocte and I can't even... I kept putting it off because everyone is so hush-hush about the story, it's difficult for me to find too much interest when I have no clue what I'll be reading about. But now I know why and all I can say is holy freaking cow! I was sucked in from the very beginning, because things like death, dark and crazy catch my attention. It didn't take long and I was reading to see where Finn's thoughts would lead me. Then I kept reading, in addition to Finn's point of view, to figure out what Calla's connection with Dare could be. THEN, I just had to find out what Finn and Dare were hiding from Calla. I was so confused and held captivated by the mystery, I read Nocte in one whole sitting. There was no way I could take a break! Things went from messy to crazy, then fell straight into psychotic. Even though I understood what was happening, I didn't know what would happen hext and I felt like I'd landed inside a tornado, surrounded by scenarios that got even more bizarre by the page. Honestly, it's laughable to look back at some of the theories I came up with. Absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing, could have prepared me for the complete truth. I feel like I might need to see a therapist after reading this - but in the most amazingly, wonderful way. Of course, maybe not too wonderful, considering I was left with a cliff-hanger and I'm desperate to see what happens next. Nocte is definitely a new favorite of mine, that's for sure! I can't wait to read the next two books of the trilogy and quench my curiosity once and for all!
