Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Blue Moon Rising (The Patroness, #1) in Books

After reading this for a second time I can now give a fair review.
This book is so unique in its plot. It takes us on a journey through Paris while weaving a tale of action, intrigue and romance. Natalie combines both fantasy and other famous fictional characters to enhance the story and I loved it :D
You come to like the characters and will them on in their journey of discovering who the bad guys are.
It is a really enjoyable read and I will be sure to re-read the second one now too :D

It just gets better and better...
This book was so action packed, I don't think I ever put the book down. It draws you in from page 1 until you realise that you've read the entire book. Characters from the Assassin's Blade were reintroduced, and are now such a crucial part of the plot - SJM is queen.
P.S I hate Chaol even more now.

The Book and then the Movie
When I first saw the book, that the movie is taken from, I didn't read it because it looked creepy. But when I saw the trailer for the movie I was intrigued. So I eventually bought it on blu-ray and watched it. Very pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it. I really liked the cast, characters, storyline, plot, even the villians were cool. Overall, very good. And I can't wait for the next one. Heck, I might even read the books now.

One of the best things I’ve ever bought
Before I got my kindle I was worried I wouldn’t like it due to it not being an actual physical book (the smell, feel etc.) but I’m so glad I went for it. I don’t know what I would do without my kindle now. I still read physical books but I read an equal amount on my kindle.
I also have the kindle app on my phone but I still prefer to read on my actual kindle.
If you’re unsure about getting one I would definitely recommend that you do, you won’t regret it!

I bought this book thinking I would like it because I liked Maguire’s After Alice and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. However, I have tried to read it 3 times without being able to finish it. I love a good tale about how a villain became a villain, but I can’t seem to get into this one. Every time I’ve tried to read it I find myself thinking about other things and bored. So, for now it’s a did not finish.

How clay felt about Hannah
I really enjoyed this, I have been wanting to read it for a while now ad glad to have finally read it. It was sad and horrible, and it showed that people can be bullied and commit suicide from bully alone - it doesn't just have to be because something horrible happened to them. I felt sorry for Hannah and Clay because they were both damaged and hurt.
This book is worth reading, it will pull at your feelings, but it is worth it
Happy reading :)

The Ultimates are still not my favorite, but I liked this volume more than the first one. However, it didn't make me want to read more. I can now live my entire life without reading another Ultimates comic.

Oh my god!! If you haven't picked up this book yet, do it and read it as soon as you possibly can!!! The story line is awesome and intriguing. The characters keep you interested. And the suspense, holy crap, it is insane!!! I don't know how much I can say about this book other than you have to read it now. If you have read it, you know what I am talking about. One of my favorite parts about this book is that there is not a single annoying live triangle!!! Yay for that!!! If you like dystopian novels with lots of twists and turns, go on and read this book!! I can't wait for the next book to come out!!

Had the hardest time putting the book down twice. But I ended up finishing it in under 24 hours. It was that good! I absolutely cannot wait to see the movie now, since I told myself I had to read the book first. Heart-wrenching and beautifully written!
