This review is for the original movie. Not the tamed down, all be it good remake starring Elijah Wood.
I watched this after the remake. And it blew me away with its originality and disturbing actors portrayal of the lead.
If you like being freaked out by performance. Than this movie is for you.
In 1980, we were just being introduced to a massive amount of slice and dice horror films. And this one ranks as one of the best

Rent worthy Die Hard RIP Off
As a lifetime fan of "Die Hard".....this made me cry. It literally could be called a remake of the "Die Hard" film with some substitutions (i.e. gender and races of certain characters).

Why?
I'm not sure we really needed a remake of Cabin Fever, especially just 14 years after the original? Worse still it's nearly identical scene for scene and not as good as the original.

Saw this a little while back and wasn't as good as I remembered. Story sounds great, the idea of a Great White Shark at an aquarium causing havoc...but the effects look very dated now. Maybe a remake project with Deep blue sea effects would be better!!

I was a little disappointed, as the movie was more funny than scary. It reminded me more of The Goonies than the original IT. I was also disappointed that some of the best parts from the original IT were cut from this remake..

This remake of the 1989 version, changed a lot from the oringal version.

Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbour Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.

Instead of the son dying, now its their daugther who dies. The ending is soo scary, the cast is great. Overall its a great remake to a already great oringal fim.
