Brandon Lee's final movie
Famously, this is the movie in which the then-28 year old Brandon Lee (who was the son of Martial Arts legend Bruce Lee) was tragically accidentally shot and killed while filming.

That particular scene, thankfully, is not in the movie.

It's also very dark, very emo, with Lee's Eric Draven coming back to life a year after his and his fiancee's murder in order to track down and visit his revenge upon those responsible on Devil's Night, the night before Halloween.

Try watching the boardroom scene towards the end, then watch The Matrix. Spot any similarities? Similarly, the finale in an abandoned church, and then 1989's Batman. Again, any similarities you may spot?

Liked it more than the first
Amazing visuals
I was a bit dubious about this sequel at first. Being 3 hours long and sounding like the same plot as the first film. True the Humans return and need to deal with the home species once again, along with a revenge angle not expected.
We get to see more of the planet this time, new creatures, clans and how the lives of the characters have changed as they settle in. It looks amazing, the SFX are unbelievable mixing human actors and animation with it looking so realistic. I think overall this just a bit better than the first one.

Revenge of the wooden boards and gorgeous CGI scenery
Once again proves that with the prequels, you can't go wrong with the production design, even if the CGI is heavy. It provides a fitting end to the saga but not necessarily the character arcs. The characters finally have emotions but they still mostly feel like wooden boards so when Anakin turns to the Dark Side, it feels less like a complete shift in his moral compass and more like it just had to happen.
