So I watched this movie based on the positive reviews....
I get the basic premise.... humanity is down to one single running train, and on that train there is a caste system, the poor ride in the back in poverty and the rich ride in front, living it up. Chris Evans must fight his way to the front in a bloody revolt. But I mean this is the very last of humanity, and yet still people are not valued.... I also get that the train is only so big, and must be kept at a perpetually maintained eco-system that is balanced. But yet, how it ended, was so abrupt and painful. They elude to the future, but really seems wasteful on so many levels.

The second book is lined up and ready to go!
I really enjoyed this, contrary to a lot of reviews I've read. Perhaps it's because it was so hyped in the lead up to it being published, and I left it a year before I read it? I don't know: perhaps I'm easy to please? Stick in some fairies, magic and a bit of danger, and I'm happy. Entertain me, help me to escape from real life - we've all wanted to be a fairy or elf haven't we? Well, maybe that's just me then...
Anyway, I loved this story of human sisters abducted after their parents were murdered, and brought up in Faerie by the murderer. Lots of intrigue, fairy Princes, Kings and spies. And the ending was pretty unexpected too. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series!

This show has had a lot of mixed reviews. Some people love it and some people don’t like the way that it represents body issues.
Personally I thought this was a great show. If you don’t think too much about how far fetched some of the story lines are and just take the show for what it is, a show, then it’s very entertaining, funny and a joy to watch.
I found it quite addicting and ended up watching the entire series over a few days. I enjoyed the witty dialogue, quirky characters and personally thought that they approached some touchy subjects in a way that people can relate to but also in a way that made the show fun.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed watching insatiable and am looking forward to the next series.

Not for the faint hearted...
I have read many negative reviews about this movie not being true to the story and if I knew more about the terrible events of 2008, then I might have more of an opinion.
As it stands I thought it was a rollercoaster 2 hour plus ride that kept me and especially my wife on the edge of our seats.
Occasionally there were a few scenes that seemed a little corny or over dramatised for the big screen but that is usually the case.
The movie itself is very intense, emotional and there are scenes of very strong violence which are definitely not for the faint hearted.
Overall Hotel Mumbai is not an easy watch at times but if you are not easily offended then I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

Under the radar hit
This seemed to pop on Netflix out of nowhere and has got great reviews. One of the best Netflix films to date. A great action film with a fair share of humour but you expect nothing less with Ryan Reynolds in the lead role. A team of 6 come together each with their unique set of skills to kick ass to some bad guys on a grand scale. With a mix of action set all over the globe it feels like a Mission impossible film mixed with the A-Team. Definitely featuring one of the best car chases of any action film for many years. It's full on action film for almost the entire run time. Move this to the top of your Netflix list!

It's hard to find a PG movie that doesn't have any major swear words in it nowadays, so huge thumbs up for that! It was a little cheesy with some of the dialogue in parts, and you could easily draw direct correlation between things in this movie, and things in some of the other major modern classics. However, it didn't make the movie bad. I don't think it deserved all of the awful reviews that it was getting while in the theater. It's a PG movie, based on the characters from Sleeping Beauty. I'm not sure what people expected. I thought it was a cute film, overall, especially considering that it's a sequel. Man, I love Maleficent's wings! I'm glad I finally found the time to watch it with my family. I don't feel cheated out of my time at all.

3rd and final part of the fantastic Warlord Chronicles!
Excalibur is the third and final book in the Warlord Chronicles series and is just a compelling and captivating as the first 2 books. (See my earlier reviews for the first 2 parts of this trilogy, ’The Winter King’ and ‘Enemy of God’)
Some epic battles and betrayals conclude this tale of Arthur, told by his loyal friend and Warlord Derfel, now an aged Christian Monk. Overall, the trilogy is a superbly realistic and gritty yet fictional account of the dark ages and the epic journey of Arthur and a magnificently strong cast of characters.
If you liked ‘The Vikings’ or ‘The Last Kingdoms’ series on TV, I would highly recommend that you give this trilogy a read – starting with The Winter King.

one of katherine heigl's best
I really liked this movie! I was really surprised by the ratings from critics and other people, I thought it was super cute. Sure, it was predictable, but it was still a really cute movie. It had a few hidden gems in there - "Having someone help you doesn't mean you've failed. It just means you're not in it alone." I think that Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl are great together. I can't say enough good things!
Everyone knows that my reviews always have a favorite character - almost always a supporting character and in this film it was Janine. She was so funny and when she cried? I lost it. I loved this film. It's an easy watch, it's a cute rom-com, great for a night in with some wine and popcorn!

Even in 3D and starring Scarlet Johansson, this is a convoluted mess.
I was hopeful about this one. Even took the time to make sure to watch it in 3D. I love Scarlet Johansson. Figured I had made everything possible to enjoy this film I had read many terrible reviews of. Now, 2 hours later, I just sit here empty. Sure, the movie is visually stunning. The CGI and action is well done. But all that doesn't matter without a story. Story here is convoluted and messy to say the least. There were several times when I just found myself bored and didn't care about the characters or what was happening. It's a shame something with so much potential turned into such an empty shell. Or maybe how fitting...
