Jafar, just not malevolent
Not great, not terrible
So Aladdin came in for some possibly unjustified criticism when the trailers dropped and Will Smith was introduced as Genie, that though seriously is not the worst of the film.
The animated movie Jafar is evil, cunning and has the air of malevolence with every word he utters, in the live action, he's well, not, throughout the film he comes across weak, so that air just isn't there.
That though sad to say is not the worst, Jasmine and Aladdin, just no chemistry making the more romantic scenes more than a little painful to watch.
While kids will watch it and love the colorful genie, the parents will be fondly remembering the animated movie.

I waited to write this review until I saw this movie a 2nd time, but my opinion still stays the same. It makes me sad, because I wanted to love this movie.
Overall, this film was ok. I wanted to give it a 7, but I just can't justify it. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing inherently wrong with this film. It just wasn't made for me. It skewed towards an older, family-having demographic that I'm just not part of. My parents loved it, so, case in point.
Once Ghost's motivations were revealed, she wasn't a villain. I feel like this should have been released last year, not now, right after Infinity War.
The only thing I found funny was the running Morrissey joke, and Michael Pena in general.

I'm probably very bias when it comes to this movie, because I am a huge Winnie-the-Pooh fan, so I probably would have liked it no matter what. Basically, this movie was very much like Hook, only with Pooh bear.
I actually really liked the renders of Pooh and his friends, and how they looked more like the original drawings by Ernest Shepherd, rather than the Disney-fied version. Disney did not decide to go with modeling Christopher Robin on A.A. Milne's son, which, I was kind of ok with.
I thought all of the actors did a really good job. I'm a huge Hayley Atwell fan, and I was sad that she didn't get more screen time. Ewan MacGregor did very well, and his interactions with Pooh and his friends were pitch-perfect.

Richard Williams' Aladdin Story
I will admit that when I first heard about this movie, I wasn't that interested in it because I was a little freaked out by the character designs. But, after watching this movie, I ended up enjoying it a lot more because of the creativity being put into this film! Now, I know a lot of people had complained about this movie being too similar to Disney's Aladdin, but in all honesty, the idea of this movie actually surfaced WAY before Disney's Aladdin came along (it was established in the 1960s actually)! The sad story behind it though was that the film didn't get released until the 1990s and by then, there were a lot of changes to the movie that differed heavily from the original vision (luckily, there's a recobbled version of this film out there, that I will hopefully see soon)! The voice acting was very well done in this version of the original script, especially with Jonathan Winters providing inner quips for the thief himself and I also loved the character designs, as they were quite bizarre yet creative to look at! Probably, one of my most favorite scenes in the movie was the famous chase scene between the thief and Tack as it shows just how bizarre this film can get at times!
My biggest issue with this version of the movie was that there seems to be too much narration and inner monologues with the characters in places that they don't really need to talk and that distracted me from the movie at certain points.
Overall, "The Thief and the Cobbler (Miramax Version)" is a treat to check out if you are looking for a more fun loving version of Richard Williams' original classic!

Watched this movie on Netflix starring Tom Hardy(Mad Max:Fury Road). It takes place entirely in his car on a 90 minute ride. He's made a choice that cost him pretty much his whole life and it all happens during this ride. He really showed his acting chops in this one. Everything happens through a series of phone calls between him and several people in his life. Takes place in England. It's all done pretty well and, though it's an odd piece of work, it keeps your interest. Turns out a little sad but worth a watch.

A messed up kind of love story but a love story none the less.
True Romance is one of those movies that was really sad that I didn't know about it sooner especially since I grew up on Tarantino movies. From start to finish it really is just a damn good movie with a surprisingly good love story mixed in with all the blood and drugs. There's a hell of a lot of action a really good story amazing characters and just the over-the-top violence that you come to expect from these type of movies.

Still hilarious as hell. Its breakneck energy, spastic animation, and frenetic joke-ifying forever influenced the current playing field for fast-paced children's blockbusters such as The Lego Movie(s) and its subsequent clones - good or ill. The inescapable hype around this back in the day was totally deserved because we'd seldom really seen anything like this at the time, and it's truly sad this is looked upon less fondly today just because it isn't as revolutionary as it once seemed. It still very much is imo, and how can one even try to deny that voice cast and role subversion?

What an sad but enlighting movie
One of Jim Carey's best films ever that isn't a comedy. This movie has look at life as if we could erase what we don't want to remember. However once we get a better view at what we want to lose sometimes we want it even more. This is what happens when the girl he is seeing wants all the memories of him and her erased and when he wants the same treatment so he can't feel the pain that's when he see things in a whole new light you may say and sees how much better his life is with her and wants to love her more and be with her. Carey rarely plays dark and emotional roles but, maybe he should have done this more because he hits it out of the park.
