I saw the word “trashterpiece” for this movie in another review and I just can’t think of a better word to describe this. The acting, dialogue, and script were all pretty terrible but in a really fun way. Definitely worth your time if you like ridiculous 80s slasher movies!

Dark, intense, dramatic. A career defining performance by Joaquin Phoenix. A tourdeforce script with dynamic direction. A skilled cast keep your eyes glued to the screen. Great! (1 more)
It's a slow burner, but even during those 'look away' moments - you can't!! It sets up Joker's origin story perfectly.
No Joke!

"Sidney Lumet’s film version of Tennessee Williams’s Orpheus Descending, with a script by Meade Roberts (who later played Mr. Sophistication in The Killing of a Chinese Bookie). I love Brando in this, especially that opening speech to the judge, and when he recounts the story of meeting Leadbelly."

The script is terrible and the film looks for any excuse to take advantage of the R rating which always seems to be the wrong way (0 more)
Hell this stinks
