Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated Primitive Secrets (Storm Kayama, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Storm Kayama arrives at her law office in Hawaii to find her adoptive father dead. But the strange events make it quickly obvious that he was murdered. The book starts very slowly, but there are several white knuckle scenes, and by the end I was glad I read it.

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Dear Haiti, Love Alaine in Books
Dec 31, 2019
I received a copy of Dear Haiti, Love Alaine from Harlequin TEEN (US Canada) through Netgalley.
I seriously love Alaine. I'd love to read more about her.
The story is told through school reports, news, articles and text messages and is a bit jarring at first but the storytelling makes up for it.
It's got family secrets and a curse and a witty protagonist that made me want to cheer.

James Koppert (2698 KP) rated The Lost Man in Books

Lost Man
As with all Harper's books the biggest character is the landscape and here it is the Australian outback. This is the third of her books that I've read and her best. One family in the middle of nowhere with dark secrets which l develop and unfold centred around one dead man. Excellent and gripping read. Recommended
