I wasn't too impressed with this first book. Not much happened apart from one curse that was affecting a handful of shifters and finding out about Jade's past with Samir, who I'm assuming will make an appearance at some point in the series. As for the romance with Alek, I wasn't really feeling it but that might change as the series progresses.

Bound by Water: Pisces (Zodiac Shifters #6) by Monica La Porta
Bound by Water: Pisces is the second book in the Zodiac Shifters series that I have read, and I enter a new world with a new group of shifters that I can't wait to read more of. Ariel is a mortal and knows nothing of the paranormal world that lives in sync around her. Atreides is a merman, the last of his kind that he knows about. When these two meet on a moonlit night, he puts down their attraction to simple moon-lust. However, Ariel's life is about to change in a big way, and the paranormal world comes closer to home than either she or Atreides ever expected.
This is a great story that is smooth yet it moves at a swift pace. With a great supporting cast of characters that I long to know more about, there is enough in this story to satisfy and yet will definitely leave you wanting more. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. I have no hesitation in recommending this book.

Much much more than a shifter romance
This book is a more indeapth shifter book i have read. In this its a battle between good and evil with most shifters the wolfen, felen and bearen being protectors to the humans that don't even know about them.
This is a great start to the series with each book being dedicated to one of the members of the police force.

The Truth in Love: Virgo (Zodiac Shifters #14) by K.C. Stewart
The Truth in Love: Virgo is the latest instalment in the Zodiac Shifters series. Emilie is the Virgo of the story, going through the motions of being happy with her (human) fiance. Things get interesting for her when he finds her shifting and, not realising that it is her, shoots her. He then declares Emilie is dead. She, being completely alive, makes her way to where her brother lives. She has managed to call him before she arrives, so he knows the story of what has happened to her, and makes it as easy as possible for her to start again. Things get a bit more complicated when Carter, her next door neighbour and landlord, is added to the picture.
This is a well paced story that features characters I am already acquainted with. It was a nice touch to see them again, to see how they are faring, whilst actually being vested in someone else. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, and the only hiccups were actually part of the story! This was a thoroughly enjoyable book, and I can't wait to read the next Zodiac Shifters book! Highly recommended by me.

Shifter Woods: Snarl (Esposito County Shifters #3) by Nicola M. Cameron
Shifter Woods: Snarl is the third novella in the Esposito County Shifters series, and this time we are at the snow resort at Cougar Ridge. As you might expect, there are plenty of cougar shifters around, including Commander Robert Chandler, and his daughter, Kate. When a down-on-his-luck Alpha turns up, citing an offer the Commander had made for him, Kate is willing to give him a chance. He fits in with their life easily enough, but Kate wants more.
I loved how this story progressed. The instant 'Mate' bond is there for Jack, but I loved how it was different for Kate being as she had anosmia. Jack has his morals, but is prepared to bend them to get what he wants. Of course, when he realises the Commander gave him a loophole right at the start, well, that was just downright funny!
With fast pacing, character cameos, and very smooth though, this story transitioned without any hitches from one scene to another. There were also no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. With a full story that is hot and steamy in places packed within the pages, this is sure to delight. Absolutely recommended by me.
