"Like for many Americans, incest is a rough area for me. I just have a natural aversion to it. That being said, when I saw this film in my Bergman/Polanski seminar sophomore year, I was so taken with the Bergman way that I forgot to be freaked out by the sex between siblings. I couldn’t stop whispering the last line, “Papa spoke to me,” at everyone I came across, and I think I will start again. Bergman is the king of mood, and his actors give it all to him, free of vanity and therefore crazy beautiful."

Okay, this book is just heartbreaking. Absolutely and positively heartbreaking.Eleanor and Parks relationship is just, the only world I can think of to describe it is, adorable. It just has cuteness about it. It didn't end at all how I expected to, but I like that, although I would have liked to have heard more about what happened to her Mom and her siblings in the end, maybe a couple of more chapters. I'm afraid it lost a star for her being a little mean to the cat, I can't help it I'm a little cat crazy.....

This is a fun, enjoyable read, set in Regency England.

Kitty decides the only way to save herself and her siblings from ruin now that they’re orphans, is to marry into wealth. And nothing will stop her - certainly nothing as inconsequential as social class or money (and these things REALLY mattered then!).

Kitty has four months, the duration of the season, to bag herself a man - and she’s determined.

This is a lovely read. There are some interesting historical details, mainly about rich, snobbish people, and a great, fun character in Kitty.

It’s a light, easy read, and just what I needed!

I cannot begin to tell you just how much I loved reading this retelling of a childhood classic. I was instantly transported into the story and was kept its captive until the end. The author kept it as it was but told it in a way that younger kids can understand and bring the meaning home. This sad and beautiful tale of two young siblings also teaches that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!!

Truly magical
This book is truly magical.
The characters are so beautifully crafted that you will fall in love with each and every one of them.
As I read this story I felt as though I had entered a dream where I was falling more and more in love with each word I devoured.
The three siblings at the centre of this book are desperate for love but a curse of threatens to ruin everything.
I fell so deeply in love with these people that heart became their hearts.
The writing stops being words on a page and it’s becomes something your eyes are seeing for themselves.

I *love* this game. I got it for my husband after we played with his siblings. We were laughing at the mini-games and how much we sucked (or didn't). (0 more)
The computers can be a evil or completely stupid, but that's why you should just bring more friends to play with you! (0 more)
Best. Game. Ever.
This game is so much fun. The maps are well animated in a classic Nintendo style. The mini-games are very fun and go between somewhat difficult and super easy, but the outcome never seems to be the same for one player. I just wish more people could play than just the four.
