This was a found read. It also got my emotions for what a surprising ending as well. Dylan and Annie have to struggle with their past to get though. Though Annie is more worried about her sister and nephew more so then what really is bothering her.
Though it all though they do find somethings. I suggest if you pick this one up you get some tissues. It reach the value of true love and having faith and letting go. Annie as though things needing to learn though out the book. Dylan need to learn somethings though most of it is Annie needing to learn to trust as well.

Erika (17789 KP) rated The Keepers - Season 1 in TV
Jul 21, 2018
When I started watching this series this morning, I didn't think I'd finish it in a day. But, I really wanted to know how everything shook out.
This docu-series made me sick to my stomach. There were so many victims, and the reaction from the church was disgusting, even more so to me since I'm Catholic(ish). Law enforcement really dropped the ball, rather, they never picked the ball up.
While this is billed as more of a who-dun-it regarding Sister Cathy's murder, it was more of an exposé. It was very unsatisfying in that regard. Though, I don't feel as though the murder will ever be solved.

As a fan of other books she has written, I had the opportunity to read a Tart of Darkness which is part of a new series.
The main character of Dani is starting a new life after unexpectedly inheriting a house from her deceased grandmother’s best friend. She decides to start a chef-to-go business preparing ready-made meals for local college students and also providing personal chef and catering services. To help fund the new business, she opens the house up to a few college boarders whom she becomes a big sister figure to. A friend of one of the boarders is found murder and somehow Dani becomes suspect

Dork_knight74 (881 KP) rated The Lodgers (2017) in Movies
Sep 29, 2018
This movie was on Netflix. It's about twin siblings cursed by an incestual family curse. The sister is trying to break it and get free of it and their old house. It's an Irish tale(at least, it takes place in Ireland). The acting was good and the imagery was pretty creepy. Overall it was a decent "creepy" movie. It's listed as horror but it's not really scary. It's kind of slow moving, but keeps the interest. Between the subject content and the little bit of nudity I'd say it's not for kids. It's worth a watch if you're bored and/or into these kind of creepy, "old style" movies.
Eilidh G Clark (177 KP) rated Elizabeth is Missing in Books
Jun 21, 2019
Lovely wee story
The novel is told from the perspective of Maude, a lady in her 80's with dementia. The reader experiences the frustration that the protagonist feels because of her poor short term memory, yet there is this brilliant back story. Yes, Elizabeth is missing, but so is Sukie, Maude's big sister who disappeared when they were both young. Switching between the present and the past enhances the story, showing how certain triggers can support long term memory in dementia patients. Lovely wee story. Brilliant gripping beginning, a bit slow in the middle and great ending. Worth a read.
