Once again, Aoléon and Gilbert are on the run again. They need Bizwat to help. They want to save Aoléon's parents. They seem to escape the from a soldierbot. There seem to be quite a few things going on at Mars and planet Earth.

What a mission they go about. Their spaceship get blistered and they land somewhere in Mars desert. The pictures are wonderful. They are down well as of again. This book is wonderul more action paced then anything.

How will they survive the desert? Will make it to their destination and save Aoléon parents. They do meet an old man. I wonder what he wanted. Is book goes more into Invasion on Earth. We also see the President of the United States again and his company in a meeting. What could they want? Will they case a war or will they sit back and wait.

Another netflix sci fi
This series began well, the opening 2 episodes were ok and steadily set the tone for the rest of the series BUT instead the series just gradually went downhill to the point of ridiculousness.

The Story is divided into two sections.A mysterious alien artifact lands on earth and a crew are sent into space to try to trace its origins while on earth scientists/government officials try to make contact with the artifact.

The earth set story is fine but the story set on the spaceship gets worse as the episodes go on.Everyone at some point is either screaming, shouting, trying to kill someone or trying to get off with one another.

A very bog standard Netflix drama all in all.

Stranger things this aint
Stranger Things is great and its brought a resurgence of the 80s style kids adventure films. Unfortunately for every Stranger Things & Scouts Guide to the apocalypse theres also one of these disasters...starts abruptly in space where the space station is attacked by a massive spaceship. Then it starts to introduce the stereotypical kids who all end up going to the same summer camp just as aliens attack Earth. The script is shoddy and the acting is pretty poor. It feels like a poor after school daytime TV movie - the fate of the Earth lies in these 4 kids hands blah blah. The aliens are pretty generic and unscary and it all leads to a pointless climax and ridiculous credits scenes. I was hoping for some mindless fun - i got half!!!

Flagship entry in Marvel's take-over of the Star Wars comics, this is set between the events of 'A New Hope' and 'The Empire Strikes Back' and, I have to say, is also a pretty enjoyable read!

It probably helps, of course, that the opening panels start with the iconic crawl, before moving to an expanse of space, with a spaceship then passing overhead - as close, in short, as you can get to the opening of the films in comic form! It also helps that all the main character - Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, C3PO and R2D2 all make a return, all looking pretty much as they did on the screen back then

OK, it's not perfect, with the reveal of Han's secret past (in particular) for me falling a bit flat, and with the story losing it's pace after the somewhat spectacular early pyrotechnics, but if this is anything to go on? We're in good hands.
