Pete Ingalls wakes up in the hospital certain he's a great PI, so he sets up a new office. But will he be in over his head when he gets two clients? A spoof on the classic PI stories of old, and an entertaining mystery to boot.

So. Many. Short. Stories.
Sometimes these kinds of weird, old school, random books really hook me, but I can't explain why. This is one of them. This story has the most simple of plot lines, yet it does so well to inflict fear and excitement into the reader.
I loved the writing. I loved the tension. I loved the plot. I loved the psychopath. I loved the ending.

Romance at short notice was her specialty.
This was not what I was expecting. This appears on a list called "50 of the scariest short stories of all time" and this isn't' scary, it's a comedy. My rating is probably swayed because I was expecting something completely different to what I got.
Never mind, it was only 6 pages to read and it was still enjoyable.

I love the idea of this book.
Enjoyed the idea of of multiple main characters interacting when normally this would be impossible. I love the crossover aspect, and I got to read a bit from authors I haven't experienced yet. a few of them i might want to follow up with and read their books based on it. This is actually brilliant marketing.

A real page turner! I've had this book for awhile and having read White Crow by Marcus Sedgwick and loving it, I decided to give Midwinterblood a go.
What am amazing book!! I finished it in less than 24 hours! It's like reading a bunch of short stories that are part of one big story.
I'd definitely recommend this book as it's definitely one of my now faves =)

This isn't a full-length novel...it's a novella...that said:
It felt a bit rushed! I wish there was more back-story! I am thinking that there will be a lot more in the first, full-length book (Witchling) which I will be starting soon :c)
A good introduction & hiya to the character though...I just really want to read their full stories :c)
3/5 stars :c)

It's the only place you can say what you think before you've thought whether it's okay to say it. (2 more)
If you want to escape from specific news stories or current affairs, unlike other social media platforms; you can mute people, or even whole topics.
Everything from everyone is relatable, no one gets offended, a meme can usually diffuse any situation
Shouldn't be free
Really enjoyed this book. It had a good flow to it and the switches between the three main characters was done well. It was an easy read and from the start I was intrigued to find out how the story was going to play out and how the main characters stories were going to join up. When they do, it doesn't disappoint and the twist made me gasp!!

What an amazing story
I highly recommend this book to absolutely everyone! The story is very engaging as well as educational. Really, really enjoyed reading this book. Wish there were more similar stories with other species. Maybe there are and I'm just not aware, so if anyone knows of another book like this one, please let me know ?

I was hooked on this tv series from the first episode. The cinematography the soundtrack the story line the actors are all excellent. Set in Birmingham in the 1920’s based on the lives of a notorious gang led by the Shelby family which is meant to be based on true stories of this era in this area. Can’t wait for the next series
