2008 conspiracy techno-thriller starring Shia LaBeouf (remember him?) and Michelle Monaghan, as two strangers who get pulled into a high-tech plot by a female voice in the other end of the phone.

This might sound a bit strange, but remember The Matrix?

The bit where Neo is receiving instructions from Morpheus on how to escape from his office workplace?

That's the type of thing going on here: do this. Do that. Jump now. Get on this train. Drive at speed straight ahead (with all the lights turning green). And so forth and so on...

Maybe also a touch of Skynet about it all...

There's a new wealthy family at "The Gardens," a gated New York community - the Golden family. Not only do they all have strange names (straight out of ancient Roman and Greek history and mythology), but they themselves seem a bit odd. René is a fellow resident, with ambitions in filmmaking, including a project to document the Golden family, but René hasn't decided if he can tell their true story or make up something fictional based on the Goldens; either way, René can't stay away from the Golden House. You can read more about this new Salman Rushdie novel here.

What happened Stephen King?
Contains spoilers, click to show
When you think of Stephen King you think of Horror, Pennywise, Salems Lot, Creepshow etc etc.
Not when you watch this. The plot just seems so out of touch for Stephen King. Not his 'norm' at all. Maybe a good thing?

The plot? ODD.
At first I thought I was watching a young, pregnant couple. No, brother and sister. They seem too "involved" to be anything but romantic partners.
Then theres the strange, out of the blue characters (that do not blend in with the storyline), you meet along the way.
You will scream at the ending, all that for nothing.

The Invasion
Invasion of the Body Snatchers- is one of the best remakes of all time. Its horrorfying, terrorfying, spooky, creepy and excellent.

The Plot: This remake of the classic horror film is set in San Francisco. Matthew Bennell (Donald Sutherland) assumes that when a friend (Brooke Adams) complains of her husband's strange mood, it's a marital issue. However, he begins to worry as more people report similar observations. His concern is confirmed when writer Jack Bellicec (Jeff Goldblum) and his wife (Veronica Cartwright) discover a mutated corpse. Besieged by an invisible enemy, Bennell must work quickly before the city is consumed.

I would highly reccordmend this film.
