Briannabrown1019 (799 KP) rated Penpal in Books

I had heard about this book time and time again over the past couple of years on reddit so when I finally got my hands onto a copy I had to dive in. I love all things horror, and this was the perfect amount of genuine creepiness and true psychological suspense. I've seen a few rough reviews based on the author's writing but I disagree. It was easy to read for me and had just the right amount of emotion in it for me. I would love to see more from this author!

Fun, Romantic and Exciting
This film has a timeless appeal, and is one of my all-time favourites.
It is a story filled with twists and turns, and some moments of real suspense - all interspersed with light humour and romance.
Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn play the main characters in the film, and have a wonderful on-screen chemistry, which makes it all the more enjoyable to watch.
Perhaps the best - and most unexpected - part of the film is its ability to keep you guessing right to the very end.

Leah Rothwell (170 KP) rated The Promised Neverland: Volume 2 in Books

Not for the faint hearted but it is incredible how much suspense can be wrapped up in these few pages. It’s drawn to really captivate you and make you care about every person in one way or another. The battles they ensue and the cleverness in the plot makes this such an amazing read that I hope it is a long standing series as it deserves it!
I wouldn’t start this series until a lot more are realised as I’m addicted and they are not released quick enough!

The one. The only. The classic.
One of the original boogeyman films is still a classic. Some common horror elements used even now originated in this film and still work.
No CGI or campy effects in this film, just raw suspense. Certainly not a hugely bloody or gory horror movie, it relies on light and dark and some use of the "jump scare" before it even had a name.
I can't get the eerie theme music out of my head!
Time to rewatch!

Oh, Sandra Brown, you never disappoint!
There's a reason Sandra Brown is one of my favorite authors, and Tailspin just cements her more solidly on that list. Another fast-paced ride into suspense (and romance!). Great story - well-researched and believable. I found the aviation aspect very interesting. Terrific characters that will elicit a wide range of emotions from the reader, from "OMG I hate her, she's a terrible person" to "Aww, I really hope things work out for him." I enjoyed this one from beginning to end.

AT (1676 KP) rated Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan- Season 1 in TV
Jan 4, 2019
I love the Jack Ryan series, and it has continued with his son of the same name. Obviously, this series on Amazon Prime is about Jack Ryan, the son, just starting out in the CIA. The series has a lot of action and the suspense that we've become accustomed to in films based on Tom Clancy's novels. I enjoyed the entire series, but don't think it was quite up to where his father would have been, if that makes sense. I look forward to season two, as his career moves forward.

Surprising
Amazing! Good to see M Night back on track.
It's good to see M Night (not butchering his last name here!) back on track with the dark and suspense filled Split. I couldn't keep my eyes off of it and I'm usually the sort of person doing 40 things at once while "watching" a movie or tv series.
It lacked the massive twist expected from M Night but it was better this way and I was pleased to discover the sequel coming out this year.

A good clever story
I gave this film a 7 as i really enjoyed it. It was a good sci-fi, fantasy film with the right amount of horror and suspense. The cast which was almost entirely female were excellent and other than the brilliant Jennifer Jason Leigh and the equally brilliant Natalie Portman i though the supporting cast were excellent too. I wont give too much away other than to say its a good if somewhat slow build up. Definitely glad i watched it. :)

Fun
Easy to learn
Not satisfying for board games lovers (2 more)
Pure luck
No strategy or any type of thinking
A great game to pass time and dont need thinking just roll the dice and enjoy
It is agreat game for family or groups to play against each other and have some suspense and fun but if you are a person who loves to think and build a strategy and be more intellectual this game will not be your best choice it is just about dice and having a goid luck

James Koppert (2698 KP) rated Force of Nature in Books

Gripping and dry
What I love about Jane Harper's books is the biggest character is always the landscape the story takes place in. Force of nature is set in one of Australia's cold and dark national parks, rugged and unforgiving and so the atmosphere is set. Take office politics up a notch to a brutal level and add intriguing and constant suspense and you will find it difficult to not read just another chapter. If you like crime novels Harper's and human and most importantly believable. Won't get a better thriller/crime novel this year
