First off, I don't get the name. Their wasn't much romancing of her going on. There was some tension between her and a certain werewolf but no romancing.

Then the storyline. It felt a little unexplained in background. How did these predictors come about? I know they were all some sort of paranormal descendent but..? It also got a little confusing for me with all the predictions and how the logic worked behind it.

I did like that it was different from the norm but I wasn't entirely convinced by the story.

Killing Eve - Season 2
Killing Eve - Season 2
2019 | Drama, Thriller
At the heart of the show are the interactions between Villanelle and Eve, which are far more than simple clashes of old fashioned good and evil, they are entirely complex and riveting to watch. There is palpable sexual tension between the two, but it transcends basic attraction. It is blissful to watch the chemistry between Oh and Comer act beside each other, and the show crescendos with sporadic confrontations of the two as you wait and savour these interactions that drive the narrative forward.

I have so much love for Alien
One of my favourite horror movies! The xenomorph looked fantastic and after seeing how it was all made, it makes it so much more impressive. this movie builds tension so well and Ripley is one of my favourite heroines of all time. Jones also being my favourite animal hero of all time of course. I don't think i could think of a more amazing horror monster than a chest bursting, face hugging, scary motherfucker xenomorph. it will be giving nightmares still for years to come.

One of my favourite shows
This show is always an instant watch when each season comes out. I did start watching it for the story but now it's mainly the characters. It knows how to mix tension and horror with awkward teenager moments as well as tell an interesting mystery.
My only complaint is that the second and third seasons aren't as strong as the first, some beats are missed but even then, it's still an awesome show.

I love Lord of the rings for many reasons. It has great characters, tension and story. It has beautiful descriptions that help your imagination bloom. It has whole new languages. It has everything you need in a classic fantasy. The only drawback is the that it ends after a long read and you wish it continue. Overall it is one of the best fantasy books I've ever read and it set the tone for many since then. Top job Tolkien.

Absolutely gripping and a great start to what I imagine is going to be an excellent new detective series and with a narrator that absolutely nailed it!

Excellent story, gripping plot, brilliant characters, perfect setting, a pace that is spot on with oodles of tension and a narrator that only adds to the suspense.

Definitely recommended and I very much look forward to following this series and thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for enabling me to listen to and share my thoughts of The Girls on Chalk Hill.

This was a frustrating, yet very enjoyable read. I kept asking myself why on Earth these women were going on such a technical walk on their own. But let’s face it - this was all a huge part of the tension. Would they survive? I mean, everything is against them: from their lack of experience, to the weather.

I really think they should have stuck to their original plan of a beach holiday.

But boy did I enjoy this! The twists and turns made for an addictive, unputdownable read!
