Sharpie0499 (114 KP) rated Assassin's Creed (2016) in Movies

Excellent fight choreography (1 more)
Good casting choices
Terrible plotline (1 more)
Bad scriptwriting
Pretty Decent Adaptation
The best element of the Assassin's Creed film adaptation has to be the fight choreography. It was so skilfully done to the best of the choreographers', stunt doubles', and actors' abilities, and it paid off. The casting choices were also commendable as Michael Fassbender was the perfect choice for the leading role of Cal and I am unable to picture anyone else playing that role. But I have to admit, the plotline and the writing weren't up to modern film standards; meaning they completely fell through. I love this film, but if it was written better with a much better plotline, it would not go into the 'bad film adaptation' pile. Overall, I wouldn't call this an award-winning film, but it is very entertaining to watch and the fight scenes are incredible.

Great, but disturbing to watch
This is one of those films that is very difficult to watch, not because it’s an awful film but because it focuses on such a terrible and dark part of history that is truly disturbing to watch. And this isn’t a bad thing. It doesn’t shy away from the subject matter in the slightest, going all out to tell the story which is why it’s both so good and yet so disturbing. The whole atmosphere of the film works brilliantly well to tell this harrowing story.
The cast are all great, notably Will Poulter who I’m hoping will go very far. My only criticisms are that the main part of the film seems notably overlong, and the ending feels like it’s wrapped up a little too quickly. But other than that, this is a very dark and harrowing film that is definitely worth a watch.

Fairy Tale: True Loves Kiss
Maleficent- is a movie that people are mix about. Some people hate it, some people love it. For me i like it. Its a different take on the oringal source materal but with the same elements.
The plot: As a beautiful young woman of pure heart, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) has an idyllic life in a forest kingdom. When an invading army threatens the land, Maleficent rises up to become its fiercest protector. However, a terrible betrayal hardens her heart and twists her into a creature bent on revenge. She engages in an epic battle with the invading king's successor, then curses his newborn daughter, Aurora -- realizing only later that the child holds the key to peace in the kingdom.
Angelina Jolie is really good as Maleficent and Elle Fanning is really good as Aurora.
It is a underrated movie and should be watched.

Get The Honey
Winnie the Pooh is one of my all time favorite charcters from disney. He is such a excellent charcter, with a great personality. He loves his friends, he loves his honey and of course his honey. Did i mention his honey. I think i did im not sure. So much honey.
The Plot: Sebastian Cabot narrates the adventures of bumbling bear Winnie the Pooh as he battles a nest of vicious bees over a trove of honey, weathers a terrible wind storm and endures the foibles of the hyperactive tiger Tigger, all while singing and bumbling his way through the Hundred Acre Wood. Kanga, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit and Eeyore round out the menagerie in this trio of animated tales adapted from A.A. Milne's celebrated series of children's books.
I also love Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore.
A classic movie, with adorable and lovely charcters.

Typical Stephen King (1 more)
Great look to the show
Gripping Storyline
I decided to give this a go as it's based on a Stephen King novel. From the first episode you will be hooked. A truly terrible murder has been committed and the suspect is seen by many witnesses. It seems an open and shut case apart from the fact the suspect is also seen 60 miles away at the time.
I really enjoyed this, one of the best TV shows I've seen in a while. In many ways the look, feel and the way it unravels reminded me of @True Detective as the police and investigators try to make reason of a complex case. But it could be something they couldn't possibly have imagined.
If you like a typical Stephen King story that you know will be weird and wonderful start watching this!

Tim McGuire (301 KP) rated Emma (2020) in Movies
Mar 14, 2020
409. Emma. My favorite characters from this one were these two servants that each scene they were in, the look of utter disdain towards the family members was priceless. I was kind of hoping there would've been a rebellion at some point and ends in a bloodbath, it's not that movie. This is a movie about a girl who can't mind her own damn business. Does she have good intentions? Maybe. So Emma is a matchmaker, and she's terrible at it. However everyone listens to her advice, with disastrous results, probably cause she's cute and rich, not that, that ever influences people's decisions. They certainly don't listen based on Emma's own track record, single since like...forever. Decent period piece, Anya Taylor-Joy looked exactly like you'd think Emma would look like, did a pretty good British accent. Funny and worth checking out. Filmbufftim on FB
