Very good acting.
I loved the actors chosen for this film. They very different and I loved watching their interactions. I think the plot was quite rushed though. I would love to know more about Ava and her life story, her life seems very traumatising, and the whole picture could be done only from snippets shared by other characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the fight scenes.

My Life for You
My absolute favorite Stephen King novel. He can paint a picture on the walls of your mind you cannot replicate. I love this book.
Gisell Middleton (189 KP) rated The Night Country (The Hazel Wood #2) in Books

A good story that does not quite live up to its predecessor. I enjoyed the writing style, which is very descriptive and engaging. The narrator of the audiobook does a good job with the pace and cadence, bringing the characters and story to life. There was a lot of introspection on the part of the protagonist and the murder investigation subplot, while a bit mundane later becomes important; even so, too little, too late. I wish more time had been expended on delving into some aspects of the story that would have been much more interesting. All in all, a good sequel.

Russ Troutt (291 KP) rated The Way Back (2020) in Movies
Jul 22, 2020
A few things I love are basketball, Ben Affleck, and a feel good movie. The Way Back checks all of those boxes. Sometimes in life you don't make the shot and sometimes life can throw a pretty hard foul your way, but you gotta rebound, keep shooting, and play defense on all of the negative bullshit. If you keep hustling and don't give up you just might finish this thing called life with a winning percentage. Hell, you might even make the playoffs.
