Very good!
I have always had a love for beauty and the beast. It was my second favorite movie as a kid with the Little Mermaid as first. But as I got older, beauty and the beast became my favorite. I loved Emma Watson in this. She did an excellent job of portraying Belle. They did a wonderful job of selecting actors that matched the original animated characters as well. Disney definitely brought it to life.

The prologue had me immediately hooked! I was very interested in how the story would turn out and I became caught up in the mystery. I went through almost as many suspects. Despite knowing she was already dead, I couldn't help but be a tad bit disappointed that she didn't come back to life - not that I really expected that to happen. I also didn't expect to find out who the killer was and what happened. You don't run into mysteries this good very often!

Imagine knowing nothing of the outside world. From birth, all you know and have ever seen is all in one room. This book is powerful. I feel it gets most of its strength from the fact that everything is written from Jack's perspective. He is 5. If he doesn't know what something is, you don't either. Outside is completely alien to Jack. A little real life horror here.
A note about the movie: the only good parts in that movie happened in the first half hour. That movie DID NOT do justice to this book!

Melissa Farman- Foster (3 KP) rated One Day in December: A Christmas Love Story in Books

Book review
Loved it! Many love stories are way too cliché... they see each other.. they fall in love... they get together... the end. This is much more realistic but still a good story. Whilst Lu goes through some tough times, it reflects the real world the challenges of life where everything isn't sugar coated.

A revival sent straight to the grave
I can't say that I didn't enjoy watching this season, but I felt they had to have a seriously good story for bringing Michael back to life. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations and I don't feel the sorry was strong enough to support Micheals return. The plot seemed forced in some places and didn't have the intelligence behind it as it did in the first season. I enjoyed watching it but so much more could have been done.

Caitlin Ann Cherniak (85 KP) rated Under the Autumn Moon (2018) in Movies

For a Hallmark film, of course, it's cliche, but it's a Hallmark film, what do we expect? It's adorable, and I love the main characters. By the way, Wes Brown is one of the sexiest human beings I have ever seen in my life, and every outfit his wears makes me melt. The actress who plays Alex is actually a good character in her own right. The romance is legit and everything seems to flow smoothly. If you like watching these types of movies, I recommend this one.
