You can see where her writing starts to smooth out. And the themes while they don't delve too deep are still thought provoking, especially, to the middle grade ages that its written for, and it talks about loyalty, love, betrayal and lying. It's an easy read and the older you get the lower the stakes seem. It's also a good reread.

Enjoyed this book. It's an easy read, would probably make a good holiday book. But it is based on a difficult, challenging subject and is both heart-warming and disturbing at the same time.
I loved Lou, the main protagonist and thought she was a very vivid character with depth, richness and lots I could relate to. Whilst the book has a very serious subject matter underpinning the plot, the story is really about Lou and her journey maturity, independence and self-discovery.
A thought-provoking book capably written with sensitivity.

This was such a romantic, epic love story that truly touched my heart, I’ll be thinking of the characters for months to come. It would be an ideal pick for any book club as there are many thought provoking themes to discuss and ponder.

I'm struggling between giving this a 6 or a 7. I settled on 7 because it's not necessarily entertaining, but 100% thought provoking. Some of the metaphorical journeys were difficult to unravel, but the allegorical shaping of the tale set in post Arthurian England was intriguing. I found that once I started the novel, I had to find out how it ended no matter what.

Cracking movie
I'm not usually one for any kind of musicals, but this one was recommended by a work mate. Loved every joyous moment, Hugh Jackmans voice is surprisingly good and the songs are definitely catchy and some rather annoyingly so lol.
Its a definite feel good, rise up movie. Thoroughly recommend it *****

Fascinating
I found this series on Amazon. It's a collection of stories about real historical incidents that took place that sparked the life of some of mankind's legends and myths. Very interesting and thought provoking look into our past as humans and how things(like science and beliefs) have changed over the centuries. With a watch if you are into documentaries told with actors, animation and art!
