OK low budget thriller
Billed as a Horror, Slasher but more of a thriller in the end. A bunch of students go to a remote drug research trial in the middle of nowhere. The side effect of the trial is that you get a premonition of the near future. Reminded me of the the Butterfly effect and a couple of other films. It does ok for a low budget, nothing to shout about for the kills which are barely seen. It could have done with a better ending, though overall it's ok if you like films with this type of setting.

Great cast (2 more)
Remote location
A mix of Thriller, Whodunit & Horror
Great cat & mouse Thriller
I really enjoyed this despite the fact it seemed to go straight to DVD. It has a well known cast including LL Cool J, Val Kilmer and Christian Slater. It has good production values as well.
A team of Fbi profilers are at a remote location under going a training selection when they start getting bumped off one by one. It has ideas from And then there were none and even some death traps like the Saw films. Well worth checking out if any of that appeals. Similar to @D-Tox (Eye See You) (2002) as well.

I didn't know too much about this film before I saw it. Just saw the cast line up and gave it a go. Only now after watching I can see what all the controversy was about. It's a re-make of a '76 film of the same name. A dark, disturbing, brutally violent yet gripping thriller. The violence towards women in this film was quite shocking and didn't need to be as graphic as it is. Otherwise this is a good thriller with a few twists along the way as a deputy sheriff in a small town has one psychotic episode after another trying to cover up his previous mis-doings!

Saw esque thriller that has its moments.
Having read the synopsis I was expecting a standard thriller with the usual twist or two (which this one does have) but this was actually an ok film in parts. It sets itself up with a Saw like premise (bunch of strangers..a game that needs to be played) but unlike saw it doesn't rely on blood and gore to dispatch of each player.
The games they are made to play to survive are fairly simple and not taxing on their brain. The characters are fairly one dimensional but I guess most are in these kind of films.
Expect to see a sequel sometime soon.

A great concept for a thriller that just didn't feel like it reached it's potential for me. I listened to the audiobook narrated by January LaVoy.
When Rachael's daughter is kidnapped not only does she have to pay the ransom but also kidnap another child thus continuing a chain that has been supposedly going on for a while.
Rachael rapidly goes from about to break down to kick ass, which maybe the situation caused but on the whole, the characters didn't work for me and I found myself bored and often disbelieving of their interactions. It has a decent pace but just a bit of a meh thriller.
