“A Thrilling Adventures of Thieves and Mysterious Islands and Magic Potions”
Van Shaw has been hired by an eccentric businessman to assess the security of the art gallery on his private island during a several day business meeting being hosted there. Van isn’t sure he believes the story he’s been given, but the money is good, so he agrees to the job. When he arrives, he finds the man’s normal security forces more hostile than expected. Then he finds a dead body on the beach. What has Van stumbled into this time?
I picked up this book expecting another thrilling adventure, and I wasn’t disappointed. The plot was a little slow in the set up, but once it got going, there were plenty of twists and action to keep us engaged. I was surprised to see the book switch to third person point of view, which made it a little harder than I expected to connect with Van again, but the multiple points of view we had for the climax made it clear why this book needed that switch. And the changes from one point of view to another were always easy to follow. I did have a little trouble connecting the characters to which side they were on, but that might be me. We do see some of the other series regulars, and I love how they bring out other sides in Van. Overall, this is another great entry in the series. If you are a fan of thrillers and you haven’t started these books yet, do so today.

Good direction
A good start
This is a very impressive directorial debut from Jodie Foster. The movie stars two of the best actors in the industry, Julia Roberts and George Clooney. The two of them have a believable and amusing chemistry and the other players in the story also work together to achieve what is a thrilling if somewhat predictable time. The movie is well directed, but the script could definitely be a bit tighter and could also perhaps hide the twists in a more subtle way, but there is a sense of tension throughout the movie and there is definitely some fun to be had, just don’t expect anything more than a fairly shallow but still exciting film.

The second novella, The Thief, shows us a more detailed and in-depth look at the Gameshouse and how it works, and how sometimes, not all games are fair. Remy plays hide and seek with a highly skilled player whose record of finding someone is 11 days. If Remy wins, he gains 20 years of the other man’s life. If he loses, he forfeits all of his memories. All of them. A hungover older player against a highly skilled young man who only plays when he knows he can win leaves us with a thrilling and unexpected end to an unbalanced match. But it ends, and the world goes on.

All on board for a train full of Zombies
Wow! What a film!.A zombie film that actually delivers thrilling action scenes..characters you can care about and doesn't rely on CGI special effects.
The story is simple with an outbreak of a virus that infects people and turns them into raging zombies.The main character is on the aforementioned train taking his daughter to her mother for her birthday when all hell starts breaking loose.
I dare anyone not to get a lump in their throat when it comes to the ending.
An awesome movie that deserves to be seen by all before the inevitable piss poor american remake comes along.

The original and best. HeroQuest is such a gentle, yet thrilling entry into the world of RPGs, where simple dice throwing, teamwork and spell casting can allow a team to pit their strength against pre-designed quests. A vast array of furniture, special tiles, doors and evil creatures are waiting to be put on the board when you enter the room, but be prepared to have to search for traps, secret doors and pitfalls or you won't get far. One player acts as Dungeon Master, the rest pick their characters (barbarian, dwarf, wizard or elf), each with their own skills and abilities.
Dice rolling was as simple as skulls or shields - beat the enemy's roll (allowing for handicaps) to defeat them and move on.

One of the best zombie books I've read and the start on an epic series

Patient Zero is the first book in Jonathan Maberry's Joe Ledger series. Jonathan Maberry is a phenomenal writer, in this series he introduces us to the DMS (Department of Military Sciences) a shadow government agency formed to respond to advanced terrorist threats such as bioterrorism, alien technology etc..
In this book we meet an array of characters such as Mr Church, Aunt Sally, Top and Bunny when Joe is recruited by Mr Church to help deal with the potential release of a zombie virus. This book is thrilling, funny, and keeps the reader itching for more.
I give this book 10/10.
